Hi mavvymoo just did a double take on reading your post ...wax chest in living room ! Goodness I did laugh imagining your hairy chest getting waxed, until I read the next bit.

You just cheered up my day.:) It is good to laugh at the absurd things that come to mind whilst reading about our household chores!

I'm not a member of this thread more a lurker, but I did giggle and double take at the same point. I thought that's quite a lot of info to tell us mere strangers, a bit of chest waxing in the living room. :rotfl::rotfl:

I am thinking about joining, it's just finding the hours in the day to post on all the challenges I am part of. I do currently write myself a list in my diary from week to week of jobs to do, it's just whether I can get to post them on here.

Craftyc how funny should have put Chest of Drawers !! But that wouldn't have cheered you up lol
Just for the record my Chest is not hairy :D But very dusty dull and sad looking :rotfl::rotfl: And still not waxed :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Anyway changing the subject had to come on here to see what was on my list as sadly couldn't remember and hadn't written it down in my book. And just checked and nothing on it done yet :D

Have a good day everyone and I will let you all know when the chest is waxed :rotfl:

    Well my list started yesterday
    - deep clean bathroom
    - start baby cardigan for dgc
    - go a walk every day
    - plan meals until Monday
    - get everything ready for working the weekend

That will do for now, and it really helps writing it all down

  • I had a midweek lightbulb that I thought I would share. I tried following the fly lady on the old style board before but was trying to do all of it every day, so soon gave up.

This time I've been doing what I'm supposed to which is putting half an hour to it and choosing what needs doing from the days list. And my house looks so much different.

Think I ve been doing that with my to do list too, and is working so far. Small manageable chunks, but If done every week, I will achieve amazing amounts over the year. Just gotta keep it up now, but tbh it's feeling easy, just focused. X

    - stay on top of cleaning/washing
    - FINISH PLAYMAT!
    - write out kitchen snag list
    - meal plan
    - two 1hr walks
    - two 15min cleaning challenges

thats all I can think of for just now. May add more to list if I can think of more

Finished the playmat! Never took a picture of it b4 I gave it to my sister which was a bit silly. Quite pleased with it though :-D need a new sewing project now

Did a 30min walk today. Hurt my back this morning, not quite sure how so felt 30mins was enough given that I pushed babys pram whole way round :-D
Meal plan done as well. Just about to gut the place. Get it "sparkling" before I start 3 days of work. Going to do a 15min challenge as well hopefully :rotfl:

    Tenth Anniversary
    Hi everyone,

Have had a successful week so far managed to complete list for self just need to do physio ex for rest of week.

Tidied drawer beside bed last night when unable to sleep due to arthritis pain. If it had not been on my list this week I probably would just have laid in bed getting more frustrated at not being able to sleep.

10 yr old list going well too, project nearly finished and up to date with the rest.:)

Hope it has been a good week for everyone else.

Have duly noted that mavvymoo has got on well and completed her chest challenge and managed to discover a lurker and challenge to join us. Sorry, still laughing at that one. :)

I accept your challenge... I shall sit at the weekend and work out all the jobs that need doing around the house (houseworky jobs not diy jobs) and any other things that I overlook from week to week. I shall try and link them with my goals for 2014 challenge. :D.
So that's it now I'm in... See you at the weekend.

I am so pleased about that :)Well done for accepting my challenge and look forward to seeing your list:D
Amazingly this really helps me in focusing what needs doing and getting it done.
My house is looking so much cleaner and tidier than it ever has (just doing a few extra bits here and there )
