I've still not changed bedcovers... ma bad! Will tag it onto this week
I've got a really busy week ahead going to keep it simple:
Keep on top of cleaning (bathroom, kitchen n living room)
Meal plan
Keep trying to not drink fizzy pop
Try for 2x15min cleaning challenge
Stay on top of washing
Finish playmat/change mat for sister
Try to have one vegetable based meal this week.
ridiculously busy week. Hardly managed to do anything apart from keeping on top of washing/cleaning.
Didnt manage to have a veggie based dinner but have had lots of veggie packed soups this week.
also had 3 tins of fizzy pop this weekmainly stuck to water/fizzy water though
So this week
- stay on top of cleaning/washing
- FINISH PLAYMAT!
- write out kitchen snag list
- meal plan
- two 1hr walks
- two 15min cleaning challenges
thats all I can think of for just now. May add more to list if I can think of more0 -
From today to the end of Saturday :-
1) Creating spaces around the home for things I enjoy doing.
2) Kitchen - more efficient meal planning.
3) Files job (2 hours minimum) - declutter/identify what presently defines me.
4) Check local foodstore next week - some Christmas 2013 food should be reduced.
5) Clear floors of anything that needs action or putting away.
Hi, an update for last week :-
1) made the living room more spacious via organising and decluttering
2) meal planning as best as can be based upon health
3) files job more manageable this week
4) Xmas reductions checked but opted for better reductions elsewhere
5) clearing floors neverending busy task "impossible" to complete0 -
Limited internet access and under par so until the end of Saturday : -
1) emotional wellbeing - keep busy decluttering
2) general health - use up current food/more plant based diet/keep up exercise
Hope everybody is doing okay!0 -
Hi Everyone, Hope you have all had a good week. I've had a very tough week at work so haven't done everything I wanted to I'm afraid. Has anyone else ever had a week where they ended up feeling that they couldn't do right for doing wrong despite having the best intentions???
A: Continue taking lunch to work. I did this for all 4 of the days I was working through lunchtime, only managed to eat it on 3 of the days though!!!
B: Sort out direct debits and transfer them from the bank account I am wanting to close to the bank account I am wanting to use!!!! Have started to do this
C: Set up credit Union Standing Order. Not done this yet as I discovered that the Credit Union office has moved location. However this is a job earmarked for my day off on Wednesday.Try to remain calm and patient with OH and children when they are being annoying, exasperating and downright frustrating ( This is much more easily said than done!!!!) EPIC FAIL!!!!!
E: Send evidence re OH's dementia to Bailiffs who are chasing him and You View box back to Talk Talk once I can find the envelope to send it back in. Again this is a job now put aside until Wednesday as I have discovered that the Credit Union office and the Library are now housed in the same building. I need to use the printer in the library to print and photocopy evidence and to visit the Credit Union to set up a standing order. I have found the envelope for the You View box so just need to get it posted back to Talk Talk. I did however have some success after sending an E mail to DD1'S school requesting a refund of the money I paid for the trip she didn't go on. They sent me a cheque!!!!!
F: Sort out Pet insurance. Have done comparisons and pretty much decided who I want the insurance with I just need to check out Cashback sites now to see if I can actually get some Cashback and set up the policy.
EDIT: PET INSURANCE NOW SORTED, JUST WAITING TO SEE IF CASHBACK TRACKS AND ARGOS DELIVER GIFT CARD.
G: Have a clean and declutter as much as I am able to given that I am working all week and won't be at home much. Am trying
H: Try to relax. Ha!!!! No chance of this
I: Get my hair done I haven't been near a hairdressers in months. DID THIS. It cost £30 for a cut and highlights with a newly qualified hairdresser and I feel much better for it. I could have waited and had it done at a later date for less money but It would have taken longer timewise with students and I wanted to get it done, also discovered that there is a hairdressing and beauty college just down the road from work where I can get things done really cheaply which is a bonus as I really want to start taking more care of my appearance this year.
This coming week I will:
1: Continue taking lunch to work and more importantly eat it!!! Also switch from having Sausage sandwiches to scrambled eggs for breakfast.
2: Try to do 10 minutes exercise each day on Just Dance. MADE A GOOD START AND DID 10 MINUTES THIS AFTERNOON, AM EXHAUSTED NOW!!!!
3: Send evidence of OH's dementia to bailiffs, sort out pet insurance and return You View box to Talk Talk and sort out Credit Union standing order. CATS ARE NOW INSURED AND I AM JUST WAITING TO SEE IF CASHBACK TRACKS AND ARGOS SEND ME A GIFTCARD.
4: Try to clean and declutter
5: Try not to get so stressed with work, OH and children.
Have a good week everyone.xxxxloobylou2.Proud to be dealing with my debts and aiming to sort out the mess in 2013!!!!:eek:0 -
All tasks achieved with help of oh due to v busy week apart from excercise so am going to pretend I can't see that one
.
Next week
Big list- book hol accommodation
Snag list - clean 1/5th of cellar
Gizmo list- learn how to get photo from mobile to email
Money- pay day allocate into pots
Health continue with diet ish and do two lots of excercise.
Good lucky everyone xx0 -
1 Shed door back on
2 Bolt and padlock -don't know what happened to the old key but had a bolt lying around and have a set of little padlocks so can put one on the end - done this before, wasn't difficult. not foolproof (there isn't a lot of value in the shed) but just to discourage potential thieves from coming to have a look.
3 Walk every day, 1 hour + if possible (want to get back to hill-walking this year but get up to 3 hours a day first.
4 Shower rail - useable as it is but needs doing if house is up for sale. This job can be put back to another week, as needed.
5 Sewing machine working
6 CURTAINS for front room and dining room a priority as we must be losing so much heat. Should be a doddle if the sewing machine will work (even if I have to put the central heating on if I have to sit hunched over it). Could take days if I have to hand sew them. But I must try. Freezing at the moment - trying to delay putting the heating on as long as possible.
7 Curtain Rails - actually on someone else's list but no progress.
8 Clean vestibule -used for food storage before Christmas. moved everything to other side last week. now want the space to move holly plants from front room window sill to acclimatise before I put them outside. later will be used for overflow of seedling plants and then I can't get at the windows till they are ready to go outside.
9 Set some seeds off. Got the box out yesterday. I think cabbages and other brassicas can start now (40+ weeks to maturity so here comes Christmas dinner) and foxgloves can start in Feb (end of week). Happy cheer me up job. If they are planted they will start coming up when they are ready.
10 Sanding the bathroom cupboard -ongoing. trying to do five minutes everytime I go in there -it's been painted and painted and now the paint has split in places so it all needs to get down to a good base. Good for getting the circulation going in the morning.
11 Do 5 five minute jobs - loads available.
12 Red paint on back of house - At some time someone thought it was a good idea to paint part of the back wall (outside) a dull dark red. This is cracking and flaking and it's really starting to annoy me. Think it will be therapeutic - when something/one is upsetting me I can go out and attack the scabby paint (I can also recommend bashing thin cracking concrete with a lump hammer).
Probably too much for one week but we will have a go
ONE LAST THING Try to think of three nice things that have happened/ things to be grateful for every day (thanks to Grey Pilgrim). Sometimes it takes a while and some blessings are mixed - twice on the same day last week people offered to help me with the things I was carrying (trying to think how nice people are not how k***kered I must look.My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -

Hi mavvymoo just did a double take on reading your post ...wax chest in living room ! Goodness I did laugh imagining your hairy chest getting waxed, until I read the next bit.
You just cheered up my day.:) It is good to laugh at the absurd things that come to mind whilst reading about our household chores!0
