Hi Everyone.
Hope you are all ok and have had a good week, its been a bit hit and miss for me again this week because I've got a really bad cold and feel really unwell at the moment I'm afraid. I've managed to make it into work but then have been coming home, going straight to bed and sleeping, am also drugged up to they eyeballs on cough and cold medicines!!!! However last week I did
1: Continue taking lunch to work and more importantly eat it!!! Also
switch from having Sausage sandwiches to scrambled eggs for breakfast. I did this for the entire week apart from one day where I lapsed and ended up buying lunch at work but in my defence it was a freezing cold day, I'd got soaked walking into work and I wanted something warm and filling to warm me up as I was frozen!!!! Also the restaurant staff are very surprised by my now asking for scrambled eggs rather than a sausage sandwich for breakfast every day and I'm pleased because I've discovered that not only are Scrambled Eggs healthier than sausage sandwiches they are also cheaper!!!!!
2: Try to do 10 minutes exercise each day on Just Dance. MADE A GOOD START AND DID 10 MINUTES ON MONDAY, TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY BUT BY THURSDAY I WAS ILL AND COULD BARELY STAND LET ALONE DANCE AROUND!!!!
3: Send evidence of OH's dementia to bailiffs, sort out pet insurance and return You View box to Talk Talk and sort out Credit Union standing order. CATS ARE NOW INSURED AND I AM JUST WAITING TO SEE IF CASHBACK TRACKS AND ARGOS SEND ME A GIFTCARD. EVIDENCE OF OH'S DEMENTIA HAS BEEN SENT TO THE BAILIFFS WHO ARE CHASING HIM AND I HAVE SET UP A STANDING ORDER WITH THE CREDIT UNION TO SAVE EVERY WEEK.
4: Try to clean and declutter. I WOULD IF I WEREN'T FEELING SO ILL
5: Try not to get so stressed with work, OH and children. FEEL SLIGHTLY MORE RELAXED ABOUT WORK NOW AFTER HAVING A BIT OF A CHAT WITH MY BOSS, TOLD HER I WAS WORRYING AND GETTING UPSET ABOUT WORK AND SHE TOLD ME TO STOP WORRYING AND TRYING TO BE SUPERWOMAN!!!! I'M DOING OK IN MY JOB. OH AND VARIOUS ASSORTED CHILDREN STILL DRIVING ME CRAZY THOUGH.
This week I will:
1: Try and get better, feel like poo at the moment
2: Send that You View Box back to Talk Talk
3: Try and spend less and make sure I log all spending again. I've been a bit lax this week and haven't really been watching or monitoring what I've been doing, also I know I've spent more than I should have!!!!!!
4: Try again to clean and declutter, I don't seem to be getting very far with this as I have absolutely no energy whatsoever.
5: Continue taking lunch to work, am getting used to doing this now.
Have a good week everyone. xxxxxxx
loobylou2.Proud to be dealing with my debts and aiming to sort out the mess in 2013!!!!:eek:0 -
Limited internet access and under par so until the end of Saturday : -
1) emotional wellbeing - keep busy decluttering
2) general health - use up current food/more plant based diet/keep up exercise
Hope everybody is doing okay!
Hello all,
1) this went fairly well with lots if items decluttered; either reuse, recycling, rubbish, compost bin, fridge freezer and food store cupboard. Also watched some programmes whilst doing some of these.
2) an improvement some of the time; kept under budget for food shopping last month, lots used up, more nutritional variety and indoor biking.
Feel that the house is "taking shape" and that am doing more outside of trying to cope with "health issues".0 -
CraftyC we must be on the same wavelength, I've just done my cutlery drawer today! Had a new bamboo cutlery holder that was is a bit smaller than last one, but it means more space for other stuff that need a home in that drawer but they now don't take over the whole drawer, if that makes sense?
Still working on this week's list. Will post it later :-) x0 -

2) Sort out the wardrobe.

Hi everyone.
Well done to you all - everyone seems to be getting things done. I wish I could say the same. I think I said last week it was because I was demotivated, but honestly this last week I have just felt totally sad and depressed. I just can't see any point in doing anything. Unfortunately, it's sort of a vicious circle - all the stuff I don't do just depresses me more.
Anyway, in an effort to do anything, I've reverted to some fairly general, scattergun targets which hopefully will make me feel well enough to start making some specific targets again.
So this week (starting today until Saturday) I will
clear/tidy/sort out/get rid of something at home every day
clear/tidy/sort out/get rid of something at work every day
do something every day to look after/comfort myself
That's it (for this week at least).

Well I was going to award myself an EPIC FAIL (as my sons say) for this week but reason has prevailed (mainly because I went to bed before 9pm last night and although I woke up a few times, more or less slept for 12 hours. Woke up feeling more philosophical which was good as the cat had left 3 semi-liquid presents in the front room (the door was wide open, she could have got to the litter tray, just didn't bother. She only gets away with it because she's very old).
1 + 2) The shed door is not back on - I brought the door into the dining room and the bit I put on last week fell off - so either need bigger/ more screws or wood is so rotten will have to start from scratch.
3) I have walked every day but not feeling great (more about that in a moment). Wouldn't risk going to the woods so having been trawling the pound shops and other bargain basements pricing up stuff we need for February and alternatives to current products (downsized 15 products and found cheaper prices on a number of others). However my leg kept giving out and not having taken painkillers with me (Took my water bottle + a banana/ other snack) ended up getting the bus back and as I was getting the bus have brought back at least a small rucksack full of stuff back with me each time. So half the February shop done (and more than a third of the budget spent)
4) Shower rail not done as can't get up the ladder
5 + 6) Sewing machine is working (ie has power) but took about 4 hours yesterday and had to dash into town at 10 to 5 to buy fuses. Shops were closing, kebab shops opening and I realised just how many hours it had been since I had eaten. Terrible cheesecake longing (not had cheesecake for > 2 years. So now I need to find the sewing machine manual - had it before Christmas. I am going to start doing the curtains by hand and hope my other this week jobs reveal the manual before I get up to attaching the curtain tape.
7) Curtain rails not done -up the ladder again and no point if I don't have the curtains.
8) Vestibule is clean (took 3 hours). Wearing my mountain fleece with the hood up - I did a 5 minute litter pick in the front garden and I swear it was warmer out there than in the vestibule. Table has been moved back in there and all the holly and lavender plants have been re-located from the front room window-sill and as of a couple of hours ago the newly cleaned sill is home to 17 family sized mushroom boxes with various seeds set to go. Would have done more but I wanted to get out for my walk before it went dark -decided to go for the scenic route and it was wet, muddy (boggy in places) and bumpy.
Other - some sanding done and the scraping the back wall is very therapeutic.
The main jobs of the week (not listed) were 5 hours on Monday cleaning DS3's room. Amazingly he went into university (3weeks holidays, 2 weeks exams- he didn't have any, one free week and now the tutors are on strike). The strike was supposed to be for 2 hours on 3 seperate days but there were facebook reports of cancelled classes and tutors just not bothering to turn up (which is what he said would happen) but happily he phoned me up to say he had met a friend and was going to the cinema, so I had an extra 3 hours. If not at uni he goes nocturnal and only comes out of his room to eat or have a bath (he is working as well - he designs little computer games which people download for a couple of pounds, still not cracked the £1000 a game mark/ supporting himself but he is getting there). I grab any obvious rubbish when I can and he did go out a couple of weeks ago but it was the weekend when we were putting in the new kitchen - I managed to grab the rubbish, the recycling, the pots and change the sheets but until Monday the last time I went in to do it properly was when he stayed the weekend at a friend's house a couple of weeks before Christmas. I wanted to get the last of the old kitchen cabinets inside his big wardobe to subdivide the space - it took me an hour to clear the 12 feet getting it from the door to the wardrobe, filled a part filled binbag, threw down loads of socks and other clothes, recycling, moved the bed to one corner then the other to get out anything under there - it's beautiful now and I got him to sort through 2 boxes of things the next day.
The room clearing + the small room last week + the mountains of washing have left me aching all over and I feel like the rest of the week I have been struggling. So I am planning a change of tack this week and cutting myself some slack. Post again soon.My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -
