freespirit my sickness is much better these days thank you. I'm still on medication unfortunately but I have noticed a positive difference in the last couple of weeks. As long as I don't think about certain foods now i'm fine! I resolve to be like you and look at Pinterest as a first stop for ideas and actually do them! I imagine it must be a bit daunting for your DD2 having to do up a new house whilst pregnant, we're having to decorate the upstairs bedrooms as we haven't done anything with them since we moved in and that seems like enough! I suppose it's all about prioritising and getting the most important things done first and slowly it will all come together. You'll have to get on Pinterest for decorating ideas! :D I hope you managed to sort out your frozen food situation, what a pain! I would happily come to a frozen food party! :T

pixtotts you're right I might get used to my own space and the peace and quiet and want to send DH on more business trips! Happy 80th birthday to your grandad, I hope you all have a lovely meal out tonight.

mrs-moneypenny congratulations to your DS! How exciting. Perhaps you can make him a trophy to entice him into sorting his his stuff out - it is imperative that your Christmas cupboard is not blocked! :p

newthrift hope you and DH are ok, brings a whole new meaning to banging your heads together! :rotfl:

OMO sorry to hear you've got a cold, espeially in this weather! I hope it clears up soon. You have done so amazing with your CV pot, like you say it just goes to show what you can do when you put your mind to it! Very inspiring.

Chirpychick that's so weird I was only thinking about you this morning!!! I think it was because my baby is due in August and I was wondering how much i'll actually get done for Christmas once it's here so should really get organised, and I remembered you getting all organised before little Franklin came along. I hope you are all doing well, is that the little man in your picture? Glad to see you back!

Congratulations princesskitty29 hope your pregnancy is going well?
As you probably remember Franklin was 2 weeks late and ended up being born 12 days before Christmas so i don't even remember Christmas that year! I'm glad I was organised! (thanks to you guys)
Last year I was not as organised and I ended up spending way too much money the last few weeks before Christmas in a real panic which is what I want to prevent this year.

So i'd say definitely do as much as you can beforehand even if thats just a list of what you are buying who.

oh and yes that's my monkey :)

MrsM The trophy was for 'courage in the face of adversity'.

I have a disability and found school rather difficult at times partly because I was bullied. I didn't have any friends back then so the bullying meant that I was socially isolated and means that I still suffer from a lack of friends my own age 15 years later.

I also received the award for best business student at college but didn't get a trophy, just a certificate and some vouchers (I think!)

Does anyone have any ideas on how to increase my social circle?
A good life is when you assume nothing, do more, need less, smile often, dream big, laugh a lot, and realise how blessed you are.

I also don't have many friends, so I can't help there. I never really made friends at school as I tried to keep my home life a secret. I suppose I just got used to being alone and never really made friends after I moved out. xx

This thread was started by a lady who was having a difficult time making friends. She received loads of ideas on how to make friends from other MSE posters, and she and 2 other posters now meet up in real life too:
