MrsM that is awful!! Lucky they got them back and the police reacted quickly!
I have brought a Xmas prezzie today, picked up a bottle of Grants whisky at Morrisions for £11 for my dad
I have just put together the gift box for my friends wedding gift tomorrow. They don't really drink much and just like to sit with a cuppa so we have given them £20 in a gift card and I have got a selection of biscuits and some twinings tea that are individually wrapped (i had these in the cupboard already) and have arranged them in a gold box with tissue paper.Christmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:

MrsM Glad your DS got his phone back quickly. It is so annoying when somebody helps themselves to your hard earned belongings. :mad:A good life is when you assume nothing, do more, need less, smile often, dream big, laugh a lot, and realise how blessed you are.

I just wanted to share.
I've been watching these for ages and they FINALLY price dropped to their lowest price yet.
Not cheap, cheap (£6.49) but the lowest they have ever been and my son will love them.
(Also they're technically free as I used survey vouchers) I think they'd make great gifts.

Hi all
Freespirit: Get those oranges hidden. No sneaking a segment mind!!!!
I am still following your daily challenges with interest to include them in my DD jar for things to do in the next year….:T
Newthrift… I guess I have issues. If things are not planned with military precision I go into meltdown. There are some days it is a blessing but I struggle to attend “spur of the moment” nights out because I have not got outfit/ bags/ shoes and jewellery ready. There are times that it will be so overwhelming I just can’t go
Princesskitty29. I can spend hours in the card shop looking for the appropriate words/ pics etc so find doing it 3 times per year cuts down on the time I spend looking at other gubbins I may buy…but are totally unnecessary…like pens/ notebooks/ fridge magnets/ little poems with teddy attached etc.:p
OMO…..That quote is deffo me :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I am off on an overnight stay this weekend with my OH and another couple. The hotel had booked us in on Fri instead of Sat so I was not pleased. (Been booked since January)...refer back to message for Newthrift about my "issues"
As you may gather, this sent me to the edge, but thankfully not over. The hotel managed did find us rooms nearby but they were £35 dearer as they are suites (£130 for one night B+B for 2).
I asked if they would help towards the additional cost and, although they could not give cash, they have put £60 in vouchers behind their own bar that we can use towards food and drink.,
I have NEVER stayed in a suite before:o and this one has a huge 4 poster bed, bathroom with bath and lounge overlooking the sea. Not very MSE but a lovely treat.:D:D I have not told my OH that there has been a change so hopefully he will be very impressed with our accommodation tomorrow.....Actually it is today....Woopdewoop:j:j:j
Love and hugs to those who need one.
A kick up the bum to those who need that too.
I will report back after the weekend.
xxxStart by doing what's necessary, then do what's possible and suddenly you are doing the impossible:j
Christmas is not a time but a state of mind :xmassmile
Trying.....Very trying- as my DH would say

If anybody is awake yet how much do you think I should price these for?
I'm calling them afternoon tea for one.
Teacup, saucer, and "cake plate"
x
( I actually really don't want the front one to sell I want it for myself)
I hope you know your capable, & brave, & significant.

Ha I was thinking the same about the front one - is very lovely - reminds me of Christmas! I'm not very good at pricing things - how much have they cost you to put together? Would £10 be reasonable?Hobnobs are like marines0 -

Thankyyou, you don't know how happy your comment has made me. I've never tried to sell something I've made myself before, I've only given it as presents and felt the need to buy something to go with it. It's so hard to put worth on something I've done myself
They've actually cost me pretty much nothing... I was given the cups and plates, the paints are £4 but they will do about 100 items each so thats 4p... and however much it costs to run a fan oven at 150degrees for about a hour... I don't know.... Time was a little more intensive but I like doing it...
So £10 sounds perfectIt's a nice round number too!
I have to admit if it had been left to me without any input they probably would have been up at £2 or £3! I've just tripled my earnings :P well... I haven't I don't get any of it, it goes to the WI, I get the satisfaction that someone has paid actual money for something I've made and will be drinking tea and eating cake
xI hope you know your capable, & brave, & significant.
