Just dashing in to wish Ruth a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY :bdaycake:
Sorry I have not been posting much this week as I have not spent much time at home as I have a friend in need atm. I have tried to read but the mobile signal has been totally carp and by the time I'm home I have been so 'cream crackered' I probably wouldn't have made much sense (no change there then I hear you say)
Good for you Fiesty on becoming a blood donor. I started a few years ago when I had a cousin who was requiring blood and I thought to myself that really we just expect the blood to be there should we need it. So that's why I re-started donating but things have been put on hold with them atm as I have started medication and having tests at hospital so will have to wait for results before they will allow me to start donating again. Hubby has been donating for many years now - I think it is 60 odd lots (makes him sound really old doesn't it) :rotfl::rotfl:
Great news on CV total OMO :T
Welcome Opeee:hello:
Hugs Nana :grouphug: (wish someone would redesign this smilie - but you get the drift)
Was meant to be having ten minutes 'shut eye' on the sofa but it didn't seem to be happening so I thought I would try and catch up with you all. Here I am lying on two seater sofa - legs up against the wall resting lappy on tum and legs - just as well you cannot see me.
Will be dipping in and out over the next few weeks at least but will catch up when I can.

Happy birthday Ruth. Congrats OMO. Good on you to Feisty, I've only managed to give blood once, had a bad reaction to it and they suggested it wasn't for me

I was just moaning that today was the first day I had not sold anything and somebody just bought some books for £2.50. I have had things collected today but until 5 minutes ago had not actually made a sale.
I have had a lovely day. I took Fingers over to my stepsisters as she was having a BBQ. Ds came with me. It was a secret as dd was working and would get upset she missed it. But she came out of work saying she had had a good/funny day, so I don't feel too guilty.
There was lots of kids there and he had a ball. Fell asleep before we had the car off the drive to come home.
Even better was that my DSS had a boot guard in her shed. So I don't have to buy one know. Next step is to fit and she if Mia will get in the boot.
Talking of boots  a bottle of red wine splashed in mine today. Dd has been saying for a couple of days the car spelt of rotten fruit. ( I couldn't spell it). So today I go to put Fingers buggy in the boot and see this bottle. As I pick it up the bottom fell off and the contents went everywhere. It had obviously cracked and been leaking. So I had to empty the whole boot and wipe it all up. Luckily I have a piece of Lino in there saving the carpet boot liner.
Sorry for the essay. Going back to watch France thrash Honduras now.0 -
Spent weekend empty and sorting junk draws, listed shoes and clothes on ebay, still have ds play room to decimate and list, planning a boot fare next sunday and what doesn't go off ebay or boot fare I will give to charity. This house is huge yet every room has draws of crap and wardrobes of unworn clothes and shoes. So time for a clear out.I don't respond to stupid so that's why I am ignoring you.

Morning :hello:
I hope everyone is well. We have had a very busy weekend, Friday we went down to some friends and had a chinese. Us ladies sat and gossiped whilst the men watched football (although my OH does not enjoy the football much like myself so they were watching it with the Scott Mills & Chris Stark from Radio 1 commentery and gossiping too :rotfl:) then we went in and sat with them and all had a good laugh. Late night, home in bed at midnight, and OH was up at 4am for work and I was up at 6.30am to do my friends hair for her wedding + 5 bridesmaids  luckily all went well and she looked lovely. Managed to tidy up and have a quick wipe around the bathroom Saturday after I got back from doing hair, sorted some paperwork in the office, made tea and got ready for the wedding, OH looked shattered as he didnt get time to have a nap before we went so he slept like a log until 10.30am Sunday morning once we got back from the wedding and I made him breakfast in bed which he lovedWe had bacon cobs, orange jucie and a cuppa and watched some Sunday morning TV, was really nice
My parents have gone to Wales in the caravan until Wednesday so I didn't see my Dad yesterday, took his present and card down ready for when he is back though and we nipped in on my OH's parents to drop his Dad's gift and card off. Went down to the allotment and had a weed and planted some more potatoes, dug up 4 little ones and had them with tea, I was so excited and they tasted yummyOH was right about the joy of digging up potatoes :rotfl:then back home made a beef sunday roast and we chilled on the sofa full of food and watched some telly. that seems lots of things, as you can imagine not much Christmassy stuff got done.
nitnurse - hope you enjoyed your weekend!! It's a good job that we have people as organised as you in the world, it drags the rest of us along when we start to procrastinate (I don't think I spelt that right):o
