OMO huge congrats! That is so impressive :)

Freespirit, you are going to be completely snowed under with that huge list, I know you can do it :)

Nana, don't feel you can't come on and share how pants you're feeling, we're here for you my lovely!

HisMissus, it must be very tough. I think the others are right, they probably did spare a thought for you, but either didn't manage to articulate it, or were worried that it would upset you. Some people aren't as great at remembering things as others. I feel sick with myself sometimes, because I've forgotten to said a little text or a note to say that I'm thinking of someone. I've not intentionally done it, and the fact that I've forgotten doesn't mean I don't care, just that my memory is awful or I get caught up in my own life drama and don't remember until after the fact. xxx

pixitotts, I've stopped trying to figure out what sells at fetes/fairs! Things that I think will go like hot cakes usually don't go, or I drop prices to less than cost, and they still don't sell! I am actually considering switching to cakes and bakes as they always sell ;)

The tarts were okay, I wasn't overly happy with the pastry from the 'new' recipe, but I'm not sure if it was slightly over-baked, rather than the recipe ;)

I've just popped back on to say I want this!

    http://www.septemberblue.net/2013/11/freebie-alert-my-christmas-planner.html

I'm really tempted to do one every year and then save it as a keepsake? I think that it would be fab to look back in 10, 20+ years to see all my plans! I could even include photographs after the big day so that we have a real snap shot of our Christmas?

    Evening All

Well I did day this morning I was going to make a start on the Christmas shopping which I did! I went to my local small shopping centre and picked up the hand wash, shampoo and conditioner and bath bubbles from the Frozen range at Poundland so thanks msgigglewick for that! It will be part of my nieces christmas present couldn't see the nail varnishes or lip balms tho so will have to keep my eyes peeled for them. also picked up some monster high hair bobble/ hairbrush/clips sets for the 9 yr old neice to go towards her present :-)

Feeling good that I have made a start on the nieces/nephews as they always seem to take me the longest at christmas!

Finished the afternoon off with a bit of food shopping at marks & sparks...mumm delish!

Plans for tonight are to chill and enter come competitions :-)

    Have a good evening all

FeistyFidget - cakes and bakes are always a winner! We did a raffle for this huuuge chocolate cake, my friends mum actually made it sold over 100 raffle tickets, and who goes and wins the cake my uncle... so now we have half a cake to eat, it's sooo good, and sooo bad for the waist line lol.
I do love the look of the planner! and the keepsake idea! I actually used the same diary for 2 years running, and have seen these bits and bobs on pinterest where they have used individual cards one for each day and used them year after year as a diary, I've explained that appaulingly, but it is a nifty idea :)

his missus - don't worry I think we all know exactly what you are getting at. I don't think your being self indulgent but even if you were sometimes everyone needs to be, anyone who says they aren't now and then is lying :P I think it's actually quite good for you :)

My eyes are not my friends tonight :( they are sore, and watery, and my glasses are needed, I wouldn't mind if I had any idea as to why usually it's computer games or fine arty stuff that makes them go funny but I've done none of that today. Been a day of getting Avon stuff sorted and getting the floor out of the boat, me and dad might of accidentally sawed through the fuel pipe though so kinda got to mend that before we can put the new floor in now. oopsy...

Oh a more christmassy note I noticed today Tescos have their collect tickets or stickers for money off luggage thing again, so I've decided what to get my mum (well if they have them again) last time they did it they had a laptop sized case with wheels, we bought my mum one about 2 years ago, we kept forgetting to give it to her, then dad stole it for Germany so plan is to replace it hopefully :)
For me thats the biggest thing deciding what to get, I love the shopping part hate the decision part!

Just rushing in before off to reclaim my living room.. but poundland have a frozen range of bath products and kiddies nail polish and lip balm. Rather sweet looking. Perfect if you're doing a frozen hamper. No doubt there'll be chocs/sweeties themed this year too.

Ooh thanks Mrs G, DGD is Frozen mad so I shall hot foot it to Poundland tomorrow and hope they still have some in our local shop.

I haven't been posting lately but I do read every day. Hugs to all that need them and definite high fives to all the super organised people who are well under way with their Christmas prep. I don't officially start until next month (usually as soon as QVC have done their Christmas in July day lol) but I have started a hamper for my DIL, and made plans for hampers for a few other people too. Now, thanks to Mrs G, I hope to start a Frozen hamper for DGD. Am also debating Harry Potter tour tickets for step daughter and family although that does mean we'll have spent more on them so have to give it some serious thought.

Not sure what this says about my forward planning but opened the cupboard in the bedroom today and found the beautiful Easter pressie I bought for my 'acquired' DGD and obviously forgot to give to her. Oh well, at least she should have eaten all her other eggs by now!
It's the most wonderful timeof the year :

Quick pop in to confirm another christmas present purchased, will note it in my diary instead of christmas binder as it's for my OH and although I'm sure he won't look in the binder, I'm being extra careful haha! It's a Superdry knitted jumper, really nice. We spend around £50 each at Christmas and birthdays and I got this for £26 from superdrystore on eBay, it's actually £100 if you brought it in store
Have started OH's Birthday presents too, the pants and blanket to go in his lorry have arrived (his birthday is August day before our very good friends wedding which he is best man for) just need to think/find a couple more bits to add in he will use. Possibly thin cotton black socks as he has requested some - we like to be practical :D
On the lookout for two handbag organizers for mum and MIL and will be heading to the bigger city near us we'd afternoon so will have a nosey round for any bargins to knock more stuff off my list :)
Christmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:

    Xmas Saver!
    Good morning.

I haven't had a lot of sleep. As I have already said I was thinking of a way to make extra money. And I decided last night what I am going do/make.
Then I couldn't sleep because I was thinking about it.

I am going to make personalised dog lead hooks. I am going to use materials I can buy locally so I don't need to bulk buy incase they don't sell. The only thing I am ordering is the small die cut bones (decoration), but they are only £2 for 15.
I have worked out they are going to cost around £3 to make.
I will post a pic once I have made one. :D

The car is going in for its MOT this morning. I so hate it; not knowing what it will cost. It's just something you can't budget for isn't it.

Hope everyone has a good day. Will report back with car news later. x
