Been thinking! I know that is dangerous, but was thinking about how organised OMO is with her links etc, so was wondering, and please don't kill me (!) do you have a timeline list somewhere on when things should be done, if poss, to reduce pressure.

I know that shopping is throughout the year and we all strictly adhere to that :D, but what about everything else?

I have made my first Christmas cake of the year and plan to have all ready to mature by end of Sept, so that will be one job out of the way, but what about everything else?

I'm sure most of us have Christmas cards bought already, so shall we all aim to have them written by end of August, maybe 1 or 2 a week which we won't notice time wise, but would notice 1/2 a day if all done together?

Any other suggestions? For obvious reasons, time can't be rigid, but if there was a guide to enter on calender, should help make for a chilled, smug December:rotfl:

    I have these 2

I loosely follow one or other (or a combination :rotfl:) of the plans from this website : http://christmas.organizedhome.com/ I have done since 2001 when I first got the internet at home. :D The one year I didn't was absolute chaos and all gifts went on the credit card :o Never again ;)

morning , all. Pixtotts, my DD does Avon, too, but just friends and family, no designated roads, which works for her, loosely 30 ish customers and about 20 orders each time. Not a huge lot, but enough.
OMO your CVtotal is amazing, do you want to sell my stuff for me?
Nana, it is great to see you back, view is lovely, hope you enjoyed every minute.
Am 1/2 packed, that is, I have packed all the stuff DDIL has asked me to bring out with me, so now it is just a matter of squeezing in a change of clothes and a nightie for me lol. Good job I have always been low maintenance.
So far as Christmas goes, just the grandnibs and the foodie hampers left to do, and I will start the shopping for the hampers when I am back off my holiday.
Better go and top up the caffeine reserves now, then get on with the day. xxxx

mrsinvisible - Wow she's doing well! I probably have about the same number of customers when my roads are included! :o!

I don't envy you, I HATE PACKING!! Packing to go 150 miles to unpack, to repack a few days later, to have to unpack and put it all away again, drove me insane. I'm now a liver out of suitcases when I go anywhere so I don't have to pack again at the end lol.

I hope you know your capable, & brave, & significant.
even when it feels like your not....
  • I don't know if any of you listen to Simon Mayo on Radio 2, but he does a 3 word day, ie your day in 3 words. Anyway, I sent in one yesterday, little bit of a cheat as it was Saturday, but I used "Christmas cake made",followed by "9 to make" so I was most amused to hear it read out with the second one and then they proceeded to have a discussion about it and were trying to work out if I am a professional or not! He decided I was, they obviously don't know me! :D

Thanks OMO & Nicki for the links.

Have a good productive day everyone

That's fab! :D I bet that was making you laugh?! Wish i'd heard it now!

Hello linz4383! :hello: You sound like another very organised one. :)

newthrift glad to hear you've got OH back at home with you. My DH has to go away for work and I don't really like it. It's not that i'm incapable of looking after myself it's just that I miss him. He got a promotion recently which is great but means he has to go even further away now! We've been together 5 1/2 years and in most of that time he's looked after projects in Europe which meant he only had to stay away 1 or 2 nights, now he looks after Asia and the Pacific which means all of his trips will be at least a week now! :( Now that we're having a baby it would have been much better the other way around! Oh well, mustn't complain, we're very fortunate really.
  • I hope everyone is well?

I'm working from home today as we're expecting a Sky engineer to fix our box. Last week we'd just finished watching Emmerdale and everything was fine, but as soon as DH tried to turn over the box lost its signal and then refused to work! So we've been without TV for about a week - we've had to talk to each other! Just kidding, it's been quite nice actually. We've still managed to watch Emmerdale on catch up and the grand prix on Sky Go so all is fine. :) I've got a horrible feeling we might lose everything we had recorded on our box though. We shall see!
