Can remember who mentioned a site which had some Christmas bits on sale, think it was a wedding site, but picked up some Christmas match boxes, well they are a little bit bigger than match boxes, with Santa and other Chrismas patterns and are perfect as gift boxes for earrings & things like that, so thank you!A smile costs little but creates much0

I got really excited reading through the second link. When I spotted that it doesn't start until December I had a full panic sweat! The thought of leaving it that close to Christmas was unbearable, how one earth would you be able to squeeze it in with other day to day things :rotfl:Gettingtherequickly wrote: »I don't know if any of you listen to Simon Mayo on Radio 2, but he does a 3 word day, ie your day in 3 words. Anyway, I sent in one yesterday, little bit of a cheat as it was Saturday, but I used "Christmas cake made",followed by "9 to make" so I was most amused to hear it read out with the second one and then they proceeded to have a discussion about it and were trying to work out if I am a professional or not! He decided I was, they obviously don't know me!
Thanks OMO & Nicki for the links.
Have a good productive day everyone
That is awesome! If I'd been listening, the nod to Christmas would have made me smile, then I would have been over the moon when I learnt it was one of my Christmas nuts!

Evening everyone, DD1s christmas present that i ordered came today so i thought it was as good a time as any to get the presents i have got out and wrap them
i remember doing this last year wrapping christmas presents under the ceiling fan because it was so hot having a chuckle to myself
the paper i used was bought in the m&s christmas sale and it was beautiful paper to wrap with, reminded me of one of your quotes OMO when the scissors effortlessly glided through it.
MRSMONEYPENNY congratulations to DS2, you should be proud

The trophy might be one that gets engraved with your DS name so you only get to keep it for a year then hand it back.
I got a trophy whilst at high school that was passed on each year - it's a bit strange to think that there is a trophy sitting somewhere with my name on it!
thats the type, DS1 won one before he left the school in 2009, his was for speaking and listening which we found hysterically funny because at home hes king of the mumble. but get him infront of a room full of strangers and aparently hes the most eloquent persuasive speaker ever:rotfl: we had to clean and hand his trophy back at the end of the year but they get a small engraved presentation medallion or mini trophy to keep forever.
we dont get told what they win their award for untill its announced. Just thankful that his effort isnt 100% as that trophy is so big the 'winner' gets told they need to inform their insurance provider and get it added to their contents insurance for the year they have it:eek: please god dont let it be that one:o
well done on getting yours, what was it for?
hope everyone is well, suns out again which is always good, hoping to get stuff done today but may well just flit and veg
finished reading the christmas mystery this morning (woke up early) so there will be 2 books heading your way freespiritSPC~12 ot 124

We decided yesterday that we going to buy another caravan. I can't take Mia or Fingers away in the tent. If we get a caravan I could leave Mia in it for a few hours if we decided to go out. And I can lock the door at night and know Fingers can't escape.
So the plan is that we will all ( 3 of us ) put £5 a week into the fund and all the money made from selling ( from this point) will also be added. By next summer we will have at least £750 + sale money. It won't be a flash van ( obviously ) but it will do us.
I sold a skirt on FB this morning, so we already have £8 in the kitty.
I am so excited.
Good morning.
I'm not well. I thought it was just hay fever but now I think I actually have a cold. Sore throat, no voice, blocked nose. I got up with ds this morning at 4.45 and went straight back to bed when he had gone. Woke again at 8.20, but didn't feel any better.
I have quoted my post from the 11th May and put in bold our saving plans for the Caravan. I think we beat it
I have another £13 coming in today, so will have broken the £950 make by tonight.
If anyone had said just over 4 weeks ago that we would have nearly £1000 by now I would have called them a pillock. It just goes to show what you can do when you put your mind to it.
The sun is shining here, and the washing I put in the machine at 5 needs hanging out, so I had better get going.
Hope everyone has a good day.0 -

Helloooooo remember me??? My little Franklin is :-O 18 months old in 2 days!
I was sitting here thinking "I need to think Christmas, plan christmas and chat Christmas but nobody I know wants to hear it, what shall I do... " and then I remembered you guys!
I popped my head in briefly last year but with a baby and no sleep everything went in a haze!
Things are a little easier now and i'm ready to get back to my all consuming Christmas planning
So far I have brought some presents in the Tesco sale in January for some of the children we get for.
I also brought my son a cleaning trolley for £6 (incl hoover and things) reduced from £30 I think.
Apart from that i'm well behind with no clue what to get anyone !
Looking forward to becoming part of the mix again, if you'll have me of courseEverything is always better after a cup of tea0
