Update on Henry. Sorry it's a rubbish photo as you cant see any of the heads. I onlh have Catherine Parr left to do now but she is the kne with the largest and most intricate dress.

There have been some lovely photos posted on here. I'll come back on latef when I have more time and do a proper catch up.

Rather apt that you have cut off Henry's wives heads in the picture!

Thank you! A great idea, and a lovely way to remember someone x

...due to finding out I have a fractured hip but I have done a small lino print!! I made a retro doll which sold on a friends craft stall and did some hand drawn cards, which weren't on my list, but seeing as I'm sat around 'resting' I needed something very sedentary.
I need a hip revision op as I'm in a bit of a mess, but hey ho, more time to craft :)
  • I have been very remiss in my neglect of this thread this month but the great news is that it hasn't stopped anyone getting on with their crafty makes. What a wonderful selection there is in our Flickr group :T

I've just updated the list of members and spotted with some horror that the last update I did was 3rd Feb

So I will be checking back until that date for more newbies and if I've missed you please mention it here and I will add you to the list.

The updating of the achievement numbers will take longer so please bear with me.

As for my activity - my first project started and finished in 2014 (Stitching Row) is at the framers and I have collected the ABC of Needlework which looks a million times better framed than the awful photo of it looking very creased and bedraggled

I have also finished another long standing UFO - a needlepoint picture of a Geisha which I intend to make into a cushion.

    Happy Crafting everyone

Crikey mollyjump, hope you're up and about again soon!

I've finished the repair to the patchwork blanket - it only took about 4 hours in the end but it's a job I've been meaning to do for years and would probably never done if it hadn't been for this challenge. My mum handstitched it when she was pregnant with me and almost 30 years of wear & tear had taken its toll and some of the squares were literally hanging by a thread.

This is the finished blanket, and I've also added a picture of the granny square WIP to Flickr

    Updated list:
    1) Granny Square cushion - Squares now all completed, just need to stitch them together, and then work out what to do for the back of the cushion.
    2) Cowl scarf - did this but it didn't turn out right so want to have another go and actually check the gauge this time :wall:
    3) [STRIKE]Beanie hat for my friend[/STRIKE] - DONE! Forgot to take any pictures before I gave it to her though. I'm not entirely happy with how it turned out as it didn't seem to gather properly at the top but she pretended to like it... :rotfl:
    4) Turtle for my nephew (hopefully for his 2nd birthday in July)
    5) Cabbage Patch Doll hair hat (joke present for my bald friend... his birthday is November so probably better start now if I'm to finish in time :rotfl:)
    6) [STRIKE]Repair the patchwork quilt my mum made for me almost 30 years ago[/STRIKE] Complete
    7) Finish the green UFO that is in the bottom of my wool basket. It's pretty much a lace frill - no idea what it could eventually be, maybe a hot water bottle cover...
    8) [STRIKE]Do something with the cowl scarf that went wrong[/STRIKE] - Complete - turned it into a braided headband. Pictures on Flickr
    9) Wild Roses crochet blanket
    10) Crochet hook holder
    11) Boot cuffs
    12) Learn to use a sewing machine
    13 & 14) Still TBC
