Coxy 11 your cross stitch is beautiful
Floreceem I love your idea for a floor mat - can I copy your idea? the carpet in my craft room is very old but couldn't justify replacing it when I took over the room so a quilted mat to cover the centre (it isn't a very big room) would brighten it up no end and cover the bits that look particularly manky. Hope you find your velcro.
Ailsb1 I am drooling over that patchwork chair. There was an advert on TV a while back with a patchwork sofa and I have longed for one ever since. Butterflies are gorgeous.
Nimbo really lovely hair clips
Taranaman your quilting is fabulous and your pincushoin is so pretty
The ORT jars look very pretty. I made a thread catcher (just a lined crochet bag, photo below - hopefully) which I can carry about with me. I use the bits of embroidery threads and yarn to stuff small items such as amigurumi crochet. It was my daughters brilliant idea which I shamelessly copied. It is much easier to stuff a small item with these than normal toy stuffing. Am sorely tempted to have an ORT jar for my craft room though
Got a bit of my Bronte sampler done over the weekend, knitted a flower (a rose) and have started knitting a lacy jar lid. Why, oh why can I not just carry on with the list I have instead of making something new?People Say that life's the thing - but I prefer reading

Think I've just about caught up now with here and Flickr so many lovely pictures you are all really talented!
I have been busy tidying and sorting my craft stuff out, and doing some crafting on the side as well just need to post the pictures up now. My husband went up the loft and found a load of big kits I bought years ago all untouched and also found loads of completed items which I did when I had loads of free time. They all need sorting out and either making into cards or framing will post that up tonight as well.0 -

Just realized I didn't mention my master piece yesterday - I used the handle of an old fish slice to make a pendent. It's been sitting in the drawer for probably nearly 3 years... I'm really pleased, it was only simple, but I think it looks really effective.
It didn't take nearly as long as i thought it would, but to be honest I haven't finished it as well as I had hoped to... (drilling through metak is apparently quite hard!!)

I am waiting for the quilting pins from Eboy to arrive before I go back to work on the chair mats.
Today I have made a second cover for the hall doorstop - used half of the 10p Velcro CS buy on it. I then used the rest of the Velcro to finish the opening in the first cover. The second cover is Laura Ashley fabric - matches the chair floor mats.
I finished making a cushion for my rocking chair - I do envelope style backs. Attached photo. I am part way through a second cushion cover so I have one to use when the other is in the wash.
I have cut the cover pieces for my Overlocker - that is a bit of a complicated job.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45
