I finished covering an office chair to use in my craft room. First one that I have done so not 100% happy with it. I have another chair to cover plus need to make 2 spare covers for wash time. I used Laura Ashley fabric lined with a recycled cotton sheet. The covers come off easily for washing - the back is a slip cover and the seat - gathered with a cotton tape.

Started doing a bit more of dds princess dress today, but the thread kept snapping on my machine. Rather than getting stressed out, I packed it all away and made a French memo board instead! Technically it needs buttons on the joins, but to be honest I don't have a stock of buttons (why, I ask myself?!) so I'm going to say its completed!

Carlamarie - love the memo board - had to smile about buttons. I have a major stash of buttons here - just love them. I was in a charity shop the other day - there was a box - lots of buttons - £3 - decent box too but I resisted.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Re my comments on seat covers - I am a Virgo - so self critical.
I have been working on covering a table top ironing board from Ikeo - it was only £4 but no decent padding to use for pressing stuff. So I have padded it up and put on a nicer cover.
I found a naked sleeve board in my stash - think it was a 50p charity shop buy that I hadn't got around to covering - done now. Photos tomorrow.
I have space to sew now I have a bigger craft room.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

I love buttons too yet don't have any. I need to sort this!
And ribbons aswell.
I have never thought to look in charity shops for them. As far as I'm aware there is no habidashery where I live so the only place to buy them is from hobbycraft, but I detest giving my money to them. I find them so overpriced.
I think I'll have to arrange a trip to the village which is around the corner from me as they have about 9 charity shopsMummy to ds 29/12/06 dd 10/2/08 ds 25/5/11:Amy angel born too soon 18/11/12, always with me Emmie Faith:A15 projects in 2015 10/15completed0 -
