Love the cross stitch cards. Cross stitch is something that I have not attempted.
I think I may have got the knack of Flickr now - tried resizing my photos and downloaded smaller ones okay - at last!

I have made 5 cards today, 4 of which I photographed... Need to make a couple more, but not sure what I want to do for those yet...

I will have to crack on with the scarf - I had hoped I'd have it finished by the end of the month- and I clearly haven't... I know it shouldn't be taking as long as it is, but i will get there eventually... haha

I'm loving the project that have been posted - reminds me my ironing board cover is most defiantly in need of redoing... The fact that seeing a picture of someone else's reminds me of this is probably a sign don't iron as much as others do... haha

I'm thinking of whipping up a leather bag to keep my knitting in so I can take it on the train - not sure what shape to make it though... Or of the leatehr would make my yarn smell funny... I kind of think it may be a way of avoiding the actual knitting though... hmmmm....

Sadly i need to have another organize of my craft room , as I would like to move some bits into it that have been in other places until now... haha that will be fun...

hope you are all well... xx

maisie m lovey cards and they didn't seem to take you long
to complete. Looking forward to seeing Ballet Bear

nimbo great selection of cards - well done

    carlamarie beautiful memo board

As for me I got some stitching done on my Wedding Sampler, took 3 stitched pieces to the framers and spent a lot of time on Sunday sorting through my stash. I now have a list of UFOs I want to finish - in various stages - some only have a few stitches in them, others just need to be made into cushions or wall hangings or framed. I also found a few designs which I had kitted up which are now on my to do list. If I do all of these it will be a lot more than 14 projects but I'm not making any promises :rotfl:

Yesterday evening was spent "reverse stitching" and we all know that takes far longer than the original stitching. I had uncovered a piece of needlepoint - a Japanese lady by Gloriafilia It is almost complete but I made a mistake and stitched a section in the wrong colour which is probably why is was put away and became a UFO. I now intend to finish it as I really like the design. It doesn't really show on the photo but the section of background from her head down is in the wrong shade (and is now unpicked)

  • fos that looks stunning, glad is going to get finished but what a shame and so frustrating having to spend a while unpicking. it will looks fabulous once its finished and framed up.

sorry carla just realised i didnt comment on your lovely memo board, it looks lovely and such a great way to stay organised and have a place for all your notes. id also suggest charity shops or carboots for buttons

  • Good Morning,

Lovely crafting everyone! I am loving those cards Maisie and Florenceem the fabrics you have used on all your projects are lovely! Very inspiring. FOS that Japenese lady is beautiful and shows how wonderfully talented you are!!

From my side I have gotten my 'home is where the heart is' stitch done which is encouraging, I have been making progress with some of the other UFO's but not much. I have been diverting myself 'blinging' gifts for people involved in the wedding - for instance, I have done pearly 'blinged' lipbalms for my little bridesmaids as they are so pretty I hope they will feel a bit more grown up. I will add photos later to flikr. I want to do 8 boxes for gifts to go into as well which will probably prove tedious but I am using these to break up stitching and visa versa...

    1. Wedding invitations for day and evening and RSVPs – started 01.02.2014 (daytime done)
    2. Wedding information sheets, Menus and Orders of Service
    3. Activity Books for the kids -
    done! 16.01.2013
    4. Table Plan - going to use a mirror for this and have bought that already so as soon as we confirm our guest list more I can crack on with this
    5. Winnie the Pooh cross stitch - started out as a gift but the baby in question is now 5 (and won't appreciate it anymore) so aiming to have it ready for any of my own potential children..
    6. VW Campervan cross - started as a gift for DF in 2012 and never completed

    7. Christmas stockings for 2014 - done 18.01.2014
    8. Christmas gift sacks for 2014
    9. Christmas cushions including 'Noel' and 'Stag' (carlamarie you inspired me, I had been thinking about buying them!)
    10. Coca Cola blind for kitchen
    11. Coca Cola clock
    12. 'Home is where the heart is' cross stitch – done! 31.01.2014
    13. Christmas Alphabet sampler - started 01.02.2014
    14. 8 pearl 'bling' gift boxes, 6 pearl 'bling' lipbalms and one pearl 'bling' wooden box for rings - started 29.01.2014 (4 lipbalms done)
