Hi everyone,
Lovely pics - well done everyone.
I joined a knit and natter group yesterday. I do knit, but I'm not very confident. I have been signed up to make some leaves for a knitted Christmas tree the group are making. They are squares, 6"x6" and are worked from the corner - never done this before but I've already made one - whoohoo go me! I also mentioned to the group that I crochet, so I've been signed up to make a jellyfish, a sand dollar and some seaweed for a 'harvest from the sea' display for later in the year. Lovely group of ladies (only 6 of them) and it's £1 a week, coffee and biscuits included - bargain!
I will add these crocheted items to my list of 14 projects
Hoping to do some more cross stitch this evening from my stockings kit.
Have a good day all

Hello all you busy busy people. I have been awol due to 3 week work trip (totally fab but no time for crafting) and then a visitor for the week. Again lovely but not conducive to getting on with my list. I have though successfully completed one project - i have written a poem :-) i used to write a lot but got out the habit. Also have completed one side of sheep hottie. Will report on blanket squares as they are finished. Still only 2 rofl but no more travelling for me till may. Maisie - your cards and Ballet Bear is really nice.
DundeeDoll - is the poem for someone or something in particular?
I've finished Catherine of Aragon so that's 3 wives down and 3 to go. Hope to have the whole thing finished by the end of March at the latest.

As well as doing Catherine this week I have finished 2 snoods and I'm about 2/3rds of a way through the 3rd one. I've also made new curtains for my living room and 3 cushion covers. Not sure whether to change my list to add the curtains and cushion covers. Will check my list and see.Cross Stitch Cafe Member #59 :j

Have checked my list and decided to update it and include the curtains and cushion covers. Here's my updated list:
1. Finish hardanger SAL from Mable Figworthy – I started this last year but couldn’t master the cut out stitches so gave up. I have decided to give this another go but to improvise and do a “filler stitch” instead of the cut out.
2. Try to finish A - Z Nativity cross. Have only put try to finish as I started this and wasn’t happy with how it was stitching up and as it’s on 18 count I am struggling with it. Will see how it goes.
3. Finish quilt for bed - large project and first quilt I've done. Majority of squares have been completed but need to sew the squares together and actually make into quilt.
4. Finish Rock, Paper, Scissors, Spoke, Lizard cross stitch. Finished and son loves it so result!
5. Stitch Pairs or Spoils Tree cross stitch. Haven’t decided which one yet, will amend list once I’ve decided which to do.
6. Knit 3 snoods as Christmas presents. Finished 2 out of 3.
7. Sew up the two jumpers that I have had knitted for 12 months.
8. Finish pair of knitted socks. I have one finished at the moment.
9. Finish butterfly mobile made from mini hama beads. Started this in 1996. Finished and framed
10. Cross Stitch Henry VIII and his Wives. I have stitched Henry VIII and 3 of his wives.
11. Finish knitted scarf – I’m about half way through this one but have fallen out of love with it.
12. Make a new cover for the sofa bed which is in my craft room (spare room). I fell in love with a “patchwork” chair but can’t afford it nor do I have space for it. Hubby suggested making a cover for the sofa bed in the same style. Hopefully this should use up some of my stash of material.
13. Make curtains for living room and cushion covers. Finished
14. Learn to crochet
I have removed the 3 pairs of knitted adult bootees as I was doing these for Christmas for my nieces but I’m knitting the snoods instead. I’ve replaced these with the curtains I’ve made. So now finished 3 out of 14 so not bad for this time of year.Cross Stitch Cafe Member #59 :j

My updated & expanded list:
1) Granny Square cushion - Still a WIP, and can see it being for a long time to come!
2) Cowl scarf - did this but it didn't turn out right so want to have another go and actually check the gauge this time :wall:
[STRIKE] 3) Beanie hat for my friend[/STRIKE] - DONE! Forgot to take any pictures before I gave it to her though. I'm not entirely happy with how it turned out as it didn't seem to gather properly at the top but she pretended to like it... :rotfl:
4) Turtle for my nephew (hopefully for his 2nd birthday in July)
5) Cabbage Patch Doll hair hat (joke present for my bald friend... his birthday is November so probably better start now if I'm to finish in time :rotfl:)
6) Repair the patchwork quilt my mum made for me almost 30 years ago
7) Finish the green UFO that is in the bottom of my wool basket. It's pretty much a lace frill - no idea what it could eventually be, maybe a hot water bottle cover...
8-14) Still TBC
So 1 down in January... I think I'm going to have a go at the quilt this weekend, or possibly the green UFO...
Hmm didn't do either of the quilt or the UFO at the weekend :rotfl: Instead I did a couple of chunky headbands. One is finished, and one I'm waiting for some buttons to arrive for embellishment. Also I discovered Attic24 this weekend - dangerous!!
This is the finished headband and to be honest, I'm not sure about it, it's VERY chunky when it's on... I prefer the other one which isn't plaited and is a slightly finer wool, I'll post pics of that one when the buttons arrive & are sewn on
