  • Quick look at my lip balms - I finished the last ones last night (sorry they do look a little rude 'out of context')

  • Actually put some photos on our Flickr group. Did some sewing while the daylight was good, taking in a black chiffon dress for DIL including moving zip, I just can't see to sew black on black if the light is not right. Later got on with crochet.

Flying visit to show you the 3 cards I've been working on. Is it cheating using toppers from a magazine ?

tgroom - I don't consider using toppers as cheating. You've still had to have the ideas of how to use them and then put the cards together. They look very professional.

    My updated & expanded list:

    1) Granny Square cushion - Still a WIP, and can see it being for a long time to come!
    2) Cowl scarf - did this but it didn't turn out right so want to have another go and actually check the gauge this time :wall:
[STRIKE] 3) Beanie hat for my friend[/STRIKE] - DONE! Forgot to take any pictures before I gave it to her though. I'm not entirely happy with how it turned out as it didn't seem to gather properly at the top but she pretended to like it... :rotfl:
    4) Turtle for my nephew (hopefully for his 2nd birthday in July)
    5) Cabbage Patch Doll hair hat (joke present for my bald friend... his birthday is November so probably better start now if I'm to finish in time :rotfl:)
    6) Repair the patchwork quilt my mum made for me almost 30 years ago
    7) Finish the green UFO that is in the bottom of my wool basket. It's pretty much a lace frill - no idea what it could eventually be, maybe a hot water bottle cover...
    8-14) Still TBC

So 1 down in January... I think I'm going to have a go at the quilt this weekend, or possibly the green UFO...

florenceem - love your iron board covers. The pattern is fantastic although I think it would make me hungry whilst ironing lol.

Nimbo - love the cards so pretty.

FOS - your japanese lady is exquisite. It must have taken you ages to do, glad you are going to finish it.

Dakota - love all your wooly hats. Absolutely perfect for this weather.

Lucky - quilt and Earwarmer look great. Quite right to make things to keep you warm. Can't make things if your freezing!

Tashatutuw - the lip balms look great and I am sure the girls will love them.

tgroom - your cards are lovely and no it's not cheating a make is a make.

Been too tired this week to do much but need to get my proverbial in gear as I have to finish a card for my nieces birthday in two weeks and also get her picture framed so my parents can take it down south to her.

I have made a really cute pair of earrings with some lovely vintage keys - they seem to be following my theme of the month (bows) haha.

the card I have made is for my sister.

I have only added one to my total for this challenge, as I am from now on planning to count 'cards' as one - alhough i won't feel I have created if I buy or use one or two pre-made cards (I have a box of them stashed to be honest)...

    Stashbuster - 2014 98/100 - 2015 175/200 - 2016 501 / 500 2017 - 200 / 500 2018 3 / 500

    All such lovely makes.
I am particularly inspired by florenceem - love your ironing board covers. I'm off to Hobbycraft to find some sale fabric.

And your floor quilt /pad too - I want one but I've no idea what I'd do with it. oops. I can see what you mean about the chair covers- maybe the choice of fabric? I've just remembered another stash of fabric in the wardrobe.

I often strip buttons, zips off clothes that I send for rag / recycling. Too pretty to lose in landfill, mostly.
