sweetcarer your journal cover is lovely - the shades of blue are beautiful

florenceem to post a photo here from Flickr - open the photo on Flickr and in the bottom right there is a button for "other ways to share" - click on this and then on grab the code - copy the html code and then paste it into a message here. Preview your post - it should show the photo Hope this works :D

Not sure how many projects you want to count towards your 14 total - let me know and I will update the first post

mum2one your first finishes are lovely

tricksie were the labels for the glass jars from a magazine? I think I remember seeing them but can't recall where. I also use glass storage jars for some of my crafty bits and now I've seen what you've done I would love to do some

Yes the labels were from WOXS I think, sometime last year. I cut them out so don't know which issue. I can always send them to you if you pm me your address. They stitched up very quickly and fitted in my handbag when we went away at New Year.

Sweetcarer - I know I've commented over on Cross Stitch Cafe but thougt I'd also say it here, your journal cover is lovely.

Mumtoone - your woolly makes are lively. I'm really envious of all you clever people who can crochet :)

Tricksie - you've been really busy, please slow down you are putting me to shame.

Will be slowing down now as most UFO' s are finished and have a couple of big projects to do next. Although I do need to find something handbag sized for my holiday in March :rotfl:

    mum2one, love your finishes
kathrynvaughan, good idea to have a practice, and you can make sure you are happy with the fit by doing that.
taurusgb, what a coincidence that you know someone doing the same kit. LOL at the need to drink to get through it. tell her its all worth it in the end.
dibuzz love your squares, so bright and colourful.

ive done a bit more on another scrappy scarf, knitting a couple of hedgehogs and made a start on an icebreg near titanic.

It says "my stash" which I thought was funny with the moustache!
The placing of the words is a little big / off centre, but he ain't fussed, so that's ok!

I have also started the skirt part of dds Cinderella dress and way underestimated how much tulle I needed! I ordered 25 yards, but was thinking in metres! So I'll need to order more!
But I can hopefully make a start on the top part over weekend.

    1. amend hubby's backpack to fit lights DONE 2.1.14
    2. Sew 'stag' cushion for xmas
    3. Sew baubles cushion for xmas
    4. Sew noël cushion for xmas
    5. Knit scarf - I WILL complete this year
    6. Decorate ipad case DONE 3.1.14
    7. Decoupage some sort of jar or tub to use as a 'pound a day' pot (need to get on this sooner rather than later I guess)
    8. Make three cushion covers for sofa DONE 18.1.14
    9. Make Cinderella inspired tulle princess dress for dd started 23.1.14
    10. Coin jar for hubby DONE 23.1.14

    So my total is 4/14

  • dibuzz glad that you managed to crack the problem of adding photos as it was worth it - your granny squares are great, so colourful

taurusgb thanks for the suggestions about crochet. I did have one to one tuition from my mum at least 3 times but for some reason I just couldn't get into the swing of it. And I really don't need any more hobbies until someone invents the machine that slows down time......

    bexidina what a lovely project

kathryn they say we learn best from making mistakes ..... And practising on spare fabric was a great idea. It always surprises me when showing beginners how to do something that the things we take for granted aren't obvious. I recall starting to show someone how to cross stitch and before I could stop her she picked up the skeins of DMC and removed the labels.

tricksie thank you for the kind offer of passing on the charts but now I know they were in WOCS last year I will be able to find them as I subscribe and keep every issue. I thought I recognised them :D

mrsmp sounds like you had a productive day away from the screen

carlamarie love the stash/moustache jar Is the pound a day jar a challenge on MSE?

bmma beautiful and such a lovely colour

As for me I have picked up another UFO but this time it is a stitchery design rather than XS. It was actually on my 13 in 2013 list but because it's for me it got put aside when I had to do more urgent things. On the plus side I plan to make it into a wall hanging when finally finished and picked up the perfect fabric in the sale at my local fabric shop (half price :money:)

    Lovely blanket.
I can upload photos to Photobucket and then to this thread. It is Flickr that is the problem for me - as that is the way to upload photos to the group.
