What lovely work everyone's been doing, thanks all of you for sharing.=) It's great to see UFOs and long-term WIPs getting finished. When I'm finally allowed to share links, I'll post one to an article on my blog and Squidoo about getting stalled projects finished. Might be helpful for someone.
FoS: Love that L*K design. I have the 'Only dull women have immaculate homes' fridge magnet, which always makes me think of someone I'm related to....!!!:DElizabeth

Of course it does go back a long time and doing an English Literature degree greatly increased my stock of books (most of which I still have). And when I got my first Kindle and realised I could store hundreds of books on a single device the size of a paperback ....... well let's just say I will need a lot of spare time to read everything in my "library" :rotfl:
I love your crochet flower. I've never been able to master crochet though I love the look of it
Oooh I love my kindle too, and so does my husband when we go on holiday and he doesn't have to find room for a box of books in with the camping equipment (I hyperventilate and go into high stress mode if I am book deprived).
If you want to have a go at crochet youtube has loads of easy to follow videos and Lucy at attic24 does some fab step by step photos of her patterns...which she unselfishly shares. The crochet flower is her pattern as is the cochet bag on my flickr photostream.People Say that life's the thing - but I prefer reading

Oooooh I want to stitch that and hang it where I can see it daily. I do I do.
Been to my stitching group today and did 3 hours work on my Bronte sampler, an hour on my blackwork, and the rest of the time I spent crocheting squares for my throw. A very satisfying day. Wish we met more often than once a fortnight. I have to say that since I joined the group I have made much progress with UFO's that I have had hanging round for years and am hoping that this thread will keep me inspired too inbetween stitching club meetings.
Lovely blog Elizabeth, and Dibuzz your granny squares are fabulousPeople Say that life's the thing - but I prefer reading

mrs.moneypenny,Yes - it is the same blackwork piece that the lady is doing at my stitching club, and she says it is driving her to drink (I hope she didn't mean that literally as I happen to know she drives 22 miles to get to us :rotfl:)People Say that life's the thing - but I prefer reading

1. Sew a dress!
2. Sew some gift bags for next Christmas
3. Think of more things for this list! :rotfl::rotfl:
Thank you x
Well its January 24th, and its not going too bad.....I started making a dress and decided to try it using a bed sheet first to practise on (don't think Hubby was too happy as I used it from his side of the bed - but no matter :rotfl:!)
Well, first the 'bust' darts were on the outside - however, I learnt from this mistake and the 'back' darts are on the inside and look like they should. I sewed one armhole completely wrong, but the second completely right!! So I'm learning all the time.
Now to tackle the 'real material' :eek:Any fool can pay full price!!0
