My nephew wanted Mr Frosty for as long as I could remember. I bought him one for his 21st and he made vodka slushies.
This is exactly what I did, haha.
Asked for one every Xmas, never got one, then when I was about 21, my ex fb's bro got me one and I made vodka slush puppies. But only the once as it really is cheap tat.

Anything I got, my younger sister was always intensely jealous of so would either throw hissy fits until my toy was taken away and then returned once she was given her own one the next birthday/christmas or mine would break or a vital part go missing so was useless.
I yearned for a Mr Frosty, a Sindy house, (I was given the Sindy dining chairs that year from Santa so almost expected there to be a big present under the tree too) the Mousetrap game, most of the Argos toy section :rotfl: but bearing in mind the above I'm almost glad that I didn't get them.
I did however get a spacehopper on my 7th birthday.

Another one for the mr frosty bandwagon! I really wanted a gameboy too but never got one, bought myself one eventually when I turned 18. I also wanted a super sticker factory, it was a toy where you could make your own stickers.
Found one in a charity shop about a month ago for £3! Although my joy was shortlived as my son went through both of the sticker rolls in one afternoon and they dont make replacements anymore! :rotfl:0 -
Wow kudos to the Mr Frosty advertisers for making so many of us (me included) want one!
As an aside my hubby gave me a Christmas present early......he's bought me one of my fave childhood toys......the Family Tree house
sadly no figures need to save up to afford those! I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife

Luckily I got my Mr Frosty but I really really wanted He-Mans Castle Greyskull but instead got the My little Pony Castle because i was a girl. Now I've got 2 girls of my own I've always let them have which ever toys they really want whether its aimed at girls or boys. Last year they were bombing around on Christmas morning with new pushchairs with Nerf Guns hidden in the back.March 2014 Grocery challenge £250.000

i was a child of the 70s - I had the dairy milk dispenser, I don't remember asking for anything major from Santa and not getting it to be honest. I do remember one of my favourite pressies - a ballerina Sindy (she was fully poseable
).
My sisters got Scalextrix one Christmas - my dad put the track on a piece of mdf so the cars wouldn't get all clogged up on the connectors with carpet fluff. Those cars sure whizzed round that track!0 -
All I wanted ( and still want ) is one of those special expensive Barbies that have to remain in their box - a brown haired one in a big red dress was what I had my eye on so I could kinda pretend I was her... I swear the man that listens to me when I mention this and actually gets me one for Christmas will be the man I marry...lol!!!...
(I am kidding I am not that shallow.. I need a Barbie car as well if I am going to marry someone....)...“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. All I wanted when I was very young maybe 6 or 7 was a Bay City Rollers album, with little windows like an advent calender. Christmas Day rolls around and I spy an album shaped pressie with my name on it under the tree! Woo hoo!

Raving Bonkers! Two plastic robots in a boxing ring operated by two joysticks either side of the ring. When one robot landed a decent punch the other robots head flew up!
Oh god how I wanted this.......but it was deemed totally unsuitable for a girl...... Never did get it, still feel the loss......;)0 -
I wanted the big yellow teapot and a stretch Armstrong, but never got them

I did have teddy ruxpin, and me and my brother used to put ace of base cassettes in him so it was like he was singing.0
