Crazy JSA Sanction

I totally agree it would stop a lot of the kick offs we have. Th nearest thing they have are the 1st 2 pages of the es40 (signing book) which explains a little bit bout the sanctions0 -
You are so utterly rude and obnoxious, as to the 1st point in you rant. An advisor will still see a job whether is expired or not.
2nd of all the advisor doesn't make the rules, they follow the guidelines set out in legislation. If you don't wish to follow these 'draconian' rules its simple really sign off.
Oh for gods sake quit it with your idealistic prattle, and please stop trying to give me advice, I doubt your qualified enough.0 -
Not really a customer would still have to wait 3 days for there payment to arrive anyway and they have usually got a decision for those types of sanctions within that time frame.
The customer does get a chance to defend themselves as they have to provide a full statement at the time of refferal.
Rubbish! then why are people only finding out they have been sanctioned when they go to the cashpoint ?
Stop reading from the book and get with what ia actually happening.0 -
Your missing the point in your eagerness to defend this draconian system and the people who carry out the orders.
I didn't apply for the job, when I clicked the right hand link it took me to the "expired" message.
When my dictator clicked the left hand link (I think it was 2 days later) the job was still listed.
When I returned home that day and clicked the right hand link the same day the job had expired.
It's pretty obvious where you and your cohorts in this forum stand on this issue, so rather than face questioning in the style of amateur gutter press journalism, I will continue with the slightly more reassuring legal advice I'm receiving elsewhere.
You not worthy of answers.
I was actually trying to offer some advice in case you had grounds to appeal against the decision. At what point have I defended the system? At what point have I suggest anything other than facts to how R.E. process and sanctions work. I have vast experience and was trying to offer an explaination, try answering my questions rather than than being absive and rude.
People wonder why JCP staff seem so off hand when this is the attituade they get met with my vast amounts of people.0 -
Sorry but this is not strictly correct, it would depend what arrangements the employer has for applying for the vacancy. If it to simply send an e-mail and the address was dispalyed yes, but if the closing date has passed the employer may well just delete the e-mail. If the employer has dispayed the vacancy with the apply button then once the expiry date has been reached this function will no longer work.iammumtoone wrote: »But it would make a difference as if the OP would have had a printed copy of the job (via post) they could have applied regardless if the job was closed on the system as they would have the details they need to do so.
If the job is saved in a basket and viewed from there then the details will be visable even after the closed date but if you search for the vacancy via the reference number it will dispaly the message stating it is no longer available.
Personally, I dislike UJ.0 -

I had a little sympathy with your frustration when I read your first post. However, your arrogant and disrespectful comments to others on this thread quickly put paid to that !......I can find work in 13 or 26 weeks and it will be work I want to do , not what I've been forced to do....
So go do it....perhaps it's something you should have been doing all along...:)0 -

I take your point, its just from my personal experience there are very few jobs that you actually apply for via the site most are external applications. Regarding applying after it has expired you are correct the employer might just disregard the application but at least you could prove you applied for it.If the job is saved in a basket and viewed from there then the details will be visable even after the closed date but if you search for the vacancy via the reference number it will dispaly the message stating it is no longer available.

when you say basket, do you mean the saved jobs as mine expire even it if have placed them in there, it may be different if an adviser saves it, I don't know. I wish there was a way of keeping a record of the jobs which you apply for without them expiring, it would save me an awful lot of paper as I print out each one I apply for so I have a record if I get an interview.
edit: the few which I do apply for via UJ can still be viewed but the ones that are applied for externally I can't find a way of keeping a record of these as just saving them doesn't work - they expire.
Ps Dont we all!!0 -

An adviser has access to a different view of UJ, if the adviser saves the job in your basket it will have a purple dot next to it, when the adviser logs in your account you can still view all the details, to be honest not sure what you can see if you log in. Jobs advisers save only they can delete, the ones you save only you can delete.
If you write down the reference numer an adviser will always be able to trace the job. When advisers log into UJ (they log in using their staff number so all their activity is traceable) and on the first screen before they log into your account they have extra options. They can put in the UJ number and it will display the date the vacancy was posted, the closing date and some details about the company.
As for recording them yes, I'm afraid UJ isn't the best for helping you follow up previous jobs, my only advise is cut and paste the relevant details on to the 'notes' in the activity history perhaps?
Oh and you can only save 40 jobs then the basket is full.0
