Crazy JSA Sanction

I'll try to keep this brief...as I'm not allowed to post links here to images of the issue.

I've just been informed that I'm being referred for a sanction by my "advisor". for not making enough effort to find work.
I apply for 15 - 20 jobs a week and always take in my job search record..it's a no brainer, (if you don't you get sanctioned.), that's all I'm asked to do, this isn't the issue though.

On the Directgov website there are two areas you can click when your advisor saves a job that she says is mandatory you apply for.

In the "Activity History" area in the left hand column (it clearly states "Saved Job".
It is also saved in the "Jobs saved by your advisor" area in the right hand column.

On the 9th my "advisor" saved two jobs for me and told me I must apply for these jobs, fine not a problem.

When I accessed the Directgov site at home I clicked the links in the "Activity History" area and it took me to a page that stated:

This job has been removed from the site and is no longer available for viewing.

I didn't think anything more of it, the job had expired, no biggie, I'd been on the PC for a few hours jobsearching my eyes were tired and I was sick of the sight of jobsites.

The next day I had an appointment with my "advisor", I told here the jobs had expired, she clicked the links in the "Jobs saved by your advisor" area and the jobs were still listed.

I explained to her that I had used the "Activity History" area and that they had expired, she clicked the same links and was taken to the :

This job has been removed from the site and is no longer available for viewing.

She asked me why I hadn't clicked the link in the "Jobs saved by your advisor"area, I explained I rarely use it and assumed the links would take me to the same "job has been removed" message.

She adopted the usual pose of assuming I was trying to pull the wool over her eyes and was giving me suspicious looks. I said it's not a problem I can apply for them when I get home, she kept on labouring the issue and I kept giving her the same answer.
When I got home both links had expired.

She is now using that as a reason to recommend me for a sanction, it seems a little harsh, when there is clearly a problem with the website functions.

Surely I have a valid argument, this will be my second sanction, so I'm facing 13 weeks if unsuccessful in my appeal.
I know they are sanctioning for the slightest reason these days, but this takes it to another level.

Sorry for going on.

    Sorry to hear this Op,

Right, everyone who is on JSA advisors side on this forum and said why I don't give my advisor access to my Universal Jobmatch account, well this is the reason why.

I have no idea why people give Jobcentre permission access, I am never going to do until it becomes mandatory.

On Friday at my Jobcentre appointment, another advisor (Not mine) tried to bully me into ticking them 2 boxsers on my account but I didn't budge into ticking them so he was angry at me and I thought he was so rude that what's it got to do with him as he is not my advisor. and to be honest I don't care if he is angry at me, better then been sanctioned and also quite frankly I don't like him.

Anyway, this is why people shouldn't give Jobcentre advisors access, here 1 stupid example by the op.

Sorry op but you shouldn't have given her permission, DWP created this Universal jobmatch account so they can place stupid reasons sanctions on people's JSA claim.

It makes me angry this goverment.

However Op, I hope you win your appeal as this is not on.

I actually think it's more sinister than that, I've been tripped up on a technicality that has been deliberately misunderstood.
I also think I've been targeted as an easy catch, I don't lose my temper, I even show empathy for my advisor over certain people she has to deal with.
If the staff were meeting "quota's" it would make sense to give them to individuals that don't have the potential to "kick off".
I despise the place and to a point some of the people who chose to work there, but I also understand they are nothing more than a parody of IDS and are just delivering his draconian message.
They are of no help whatsoever, they have become money saving sanction puppets for the coalition.
Your right about the account access, I take printed copies of all the jobs I apply for and a record of jobsearch activities, so with hind site there 's no real reason to give them entry. It's just another sanction option for them.
I'm actually beyond caring, if this sanction is imposed they may as well give me the full monty, I won't be attending any appointment other than my signing day. I refuse to be treated like this and if that means emergency payments until I find a job then so be it.

Yes I agree op, however I am confused as to why you give them access even though you print your Jobsearch activities.?

Apologies for derailing this slightly, but can permission for usage of UJ be revoked?

Yes, if you tick them 2 boxers then you can easly untick them, I ticked them at first when Universal Jobmatch came in force but a week later I unticked both of them.

Like the advisors the UJ site performs no useful function, and yes my boxes are now unticked. ;)

A little update to this, I've now been informed I have to do 4 weeks mandatory work activity.
So to help me find work I am being sanctioned for 13 weeks and forced to work for nothing for 4 weeks, at least it's saving the government a few quid.
