Tesco CC & petrol points

How much do CC credit card holders get if buying momentum fuel then?
Is it double the 1% that normal clubcard get? I suspect not, because there's no specific mention of that, even in the small print tucked away down the end of the scrollbar on a popup window (not altogether surprising it wasn't found even by those who'd seen it before).
Wel according to the Tesco website, using just clubcard, you get 1 point per £1 spent.
If you use clubcard and pay with Tesco credit card, you get 2 points for every £1 spent (plus the usual 1 TPF point for every £4 spent)
But you've already proved we shouldn't listen to what Tesco tell us is awarded. Tesco only THINK that is what you are entitled to.
I'm sure all the other posters here will tell you what you actually are entitled to.0 -
Thanks, I may pay the extra for that then, depending on the differential.0

It's 5ppl more than the regular Unleaded, I only use it because my car is designed to be run on 98RON+ fuel, I wouldn't bother just for the extra points!0

Not worth it just for points, depends whether their website claims of between 2.85 and 6.2% fuel savings can be believed.
4% extra cost may be outweighed by extra 3% or so in clubcard points plus even a conservative 2.5% fuel saving.0 -
Well this thread got long without me realising! Quick update - I've checked my clubcard account online.
On 1 Dec, I bought £43 petrol, used Tesco CC as a clubcard but not payment - 43 points awarded.
On 4 Dec, I bought £50 petrol, Tesco CC as CC and to pay, 25 points for fuel, 12 points for CC spend.
All my fuel spends prior to December awarded 1 per pound in addition to the credit card 1 per £4 bonus (if I used the CC to pay, which I rarely did). So it's obviously a new development! Shame!0 -
Interesting, my latest spend was on 3 Dec and it was working then.
I don't have a leg to stand on as I use a different credit card, however you say "Tesco CC as CC and to pay" and so they re breaching the promise they make on 20aday's link.0 -

ok. thanks.0 -

i'm not sure that you can win that argument, as i think this was a mistake that has been rectified, rather than a change to the deal.
my Tesco account has a BT on it, and i cut up the card. if it is useful purely as a clubcard, i will request a replacement;)0
