You can clearly see that Tesco only give 1 clubcard per £2 spent on fuel
Don't be confused by the 2 points per £1 spent instore - back then they were giving double Tesco clubcard points, but that was dropped in September 2011 back to 1 point per £1 when they launched their "Big Price Drop Campaign"

To be clear, Atidi - you have posted 2 links about Tesco clubcard to support your position.
20aday has posted information on how to access a link, from Tesco themselves, about the Tesco Clubcard Credit Card, which supports our position.
Clubcard and Clubcard Credit Card are two different entities.

Under the Collect and Spend Points section of the Tesco Clubcard website on the "View all the ways to collect Clubcard points at Tesco" it states that anyone buying Tesco Unleaded and Diesel who charges it to their Tesco Bank card that they'll get 1 point for 1 litre.
Oh yes, I forgot about that little quirk they left in.
It's actually 1 point per £1 spent on Tesco fuel (rather than per litre) plus your usual TPF points of 1 pint for every £4 spent.
But it only applies when you pay with your Tesco credit card.
But there's a lot of people here adamant they get 1 point per £1 (or sometimes per litre) even when they don't make the purchase with the Tesco credit card.0 -

Really, you're posting on the wrong thread. This is a thread in the Credit Card forum called "Tesco CC & petrol points". To try to derail it by posting about "Tesco clubcard & petrol points" is at best irrelevant.
To be fair, I originally answered the OP's enquiry with all the facts (apart from the odd quirk about buying using a Tesco credit card to buy the fuel from Tesco that 20aday reminded me of.
It was perhaps all the others who have now ganged up against me rather than attempting to help the OP with their request stating that they get 1 point per £1 spent on fuel (or sometimes per litre) even when they don't pay with their Tesco credit card that has probably de-railed this thread.0 -
No - they THINK it only applies when you pay with your Tesco credit card.
They are wrong.
Yes, and you are RIGHT.
I should have known better than to take the official advice from Tesco, both from their website and their mailings, and should have listened to what is posted on internet forums (but not the ones from 2011) all along :cool:0 -
Tesco CC + Luma when paying for petrol is a powerful combination.
I tend to assume each CC point is worth an average of 3p if used at 4x boost on restaurant deals etc (just 3p because online vouchers can often be found to subsidise part of a restaurant meal if not using CC vouchers)
That then works out at about 7% back on petrol spend.0 -

Oh I see you've added some more to your post.
Once again, absolutely correct. I love that old chestnut.
Tesco points worth at least 4p each is you ask me ...:cool:0 -
How much do CC credit card holders get if buying momentum fuel then?
Is it double the 1% that normal clubcard get? I suspect not, because there's no specific mention of that, even in the small print tucked away down the end of the scrollbar on a popup window (not altogether surprising it wasn't found even by those who'd seen it before).0 -

The Momentum 99 section seems confusing.
If you just use your Clubcard (or TPF without charging it) you get 1 point for every £1 you spend.
If you charge your TPF card you get 2 points for every £1 in addition to the 1 point per £4.It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.0
