Tesco CC & petrol points

so, is it worth getting hold of a Tesco Credit Card (with a BT on it) just to use as a Clubcard, or is it too late to benefit?

I don't think you can get the black Finest World cc now. They were only available years ago, and I was told was "very old" by the lady at the Tesco Clubcard helpline. I've had mine over 4 years.
The only one that shows available on the Tesco website now that's available is the Tesco Clubcard Credit Card (which isn't as good a deal as the Finest cc).

I use my TPF CC as my clubcard for fuel. My last 2 fills at Tescos:

15 Nov. £83.02 on petrol - 83 points. A further 41 points through my CC.

8 Dec. £20 on petrol - 20 points. A further 10 points through my CC.

thank you. i used to have the black FW card myself. closed it a couple of years ago, perhaps mistakenly. i took out a new Tesco card in the summer, which has a BT deal ending Summer'14. i cut it up, as channel spending via Cashback Card. just pondered asking them for a replacement, just to use as a clubcard. but, in the interests of keeping my credit file neat & tidy, like the idea of clearing the balance at the end of the 0% period and closing, along with a NatWest card. i would still be left with 6 Credit Cards.

so, according to that form, the 'Creditcard as a Clubcard' is still worth using.

Did you pay at pump or in the kiosk?
How long have you had the card?

[Mine has gone down to half points with no explanation after 4 years]

I paid in the kiosk as I always do and it was unleaded. The rest of the information is as per yours, only in a different format.

I appreciate my transaction is around a month ago (been away most of this month, so haven't needed to put any more in since), but on 26/11:-

Fuel bill: £12.01
Fuel purchased: Diesel
Clubcard used: Tesco clubcard credit card.
Payment card used: Tesco clubcard credit card.
Where paid: At pump
Points awarded: 6.

My Clubcard statement:-
26/11/2013 TESCO XXXX PFS £12.01 Points:- 6
26/11/2013 CLUBCARD M.CARD SPEND - TESCO PayatPump £12.01 Points:- 3

Exactly the same on 14/11 too.

I sent Tesco Clubcard an email, querying this on 2/12, and was promised a 'personal reply' which I am yet to receive.

The Tesco Bank website still states:- "Tesco fuel - 5 Clubcard points for every £4 you spend (excludes Esso Fuel)."

I'll be putting some more diesel in today, so I'll be sure to pay at the kiosk, and report back.
