Tesco finally replied to my email dated 2/12 (after chasing them up), stating:-

"Having looked at your Clubcard account, I can see that there are a few points missing; I can only put this down to a technical error."

They also added some points as a gesture.

How many points would i get if i used my girlfriends clubcard then paid with my tesco cc?

Example 40 spend. Would it be 20 points on her clubcard then 10 on my cc?

Your girlfriend would get 1 point per £2 spent (so 20, as you state) and then you'd get 10 on your credit card (1 point per £4 spend.)
It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.

    Thought so. Thanks
  • Been to Tesco petrol station today to fill up. Haven't been there since before Xmas.

I decided to would fill up and pay in the kiosk. I almost always pay at the pump, but since my points have dropped to half at the pump, I thought I'd go inside to pay.

Spent £40 on fuel. Handed over my Tesco Finest (black) credit card. Did NOT hand over my clubcard.

Got my receipt. £40 spent. 40 points. Unbelievable!

So why am I only getting half when paying at the pump?

I've bought diesel a few times since first reading this thread. Every time I've paid at pump, using my Tesco credit card (the one with the strawberrys on) as a clubcard only, paying with a different card, and every time I've got the usual one point per pound. Could it be different types of Tesco credit card behaving differently? (e.g. crazyaboutmags mentioned a black card a couple of posts ago, and I believe there's a third one too)

Really? 69 points? Is that what it says on your receipt?
I would how that works?! A strange amount!

I've had a Tesco credit card for over 10 years (I think!). The first one I had, I think was as silver one with raindrops on. Then I was automatically 'upgraded' to a black Finest World card. So obviously there are a few around. I've been told mine's an 'old style card'.

I've noticed at some of the Tesco petrol stations, there is a large banner advertisement over the whole of the pump area. It says "get more points at the pump" and shows the Tesco Clubcard Credit Card (the one with the strawberries). However, there is nothing on the ad at the pump to state exactly how many points are being received.

I dunno about it being an 'old style card'
I've got one of those issued in December 2012

The one before that was indeed silver
10 years ago it was purple
