Tesco CC & petrol points

i get the points each November, and actually used this year's on Whisky, Gin and Drambuie for Christmas presents.0

Clubcard points dont expire (do they?)so i guess it's ok to just stash them away and wait until something we want comes up.0

cheers PW.
i favour cashback anyway, but will look into ensuring that i do better out of Clubcard points.0 -

Exactly.
Not quite as bad as that. They expire, but if you have a £10+ points coupon, you can buy something with £2.50 points and have £7.50 in change returned to your clubcard account ... whereupon you shortly get more vouchers with ANOTHER 2 year shelf life.
Some of my points must date back 5 years, but I'm always careful to recycle and buy small amounts with oversized vouchers.
In my experience, expiry dates aren't an issue. Just keep on top of it.0 -
PS. Pleasure to be able to help you planteria, you're always very helpful on stoozing forums.0

nice of you to say so. i have been treated like the devil incarnate here by some, after discussing some of my mutual investments, with blatant lies bandied around and accepted by moderators as fact. nice to know i am appreciated by some:grouphug:0 -

it's a good way to do things. but it's a shame that the Tesco card doesn't just pay out at 1%+, even if it was just in Tesco vouchers/equivalent Clubcard points.0

if you just used your clubcard credit card as a clubcard, and paid with another, and your receipt shows 44 points, that is what you'll get.
Sorry, I didn't make my post quite clear enough .
I used my Tesco Credit Card as the method of payment AND the Clubcard. It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.0 -
We buy Pizza Express vouchers every quarter to keep our Clubcard points live.0
