I have a late payment marker with barclays for an account £700 over an unauthorised overdraft, which ive been struggling to keep up with payment arrangments with them so theyve decided to close the account, so think theyve cleared the outstanding balance.
This could have been the alarm bell that got your application refused.
If this debt was pre-BR it should have been included, if it was post BR it's just downright reckless for you to get yourself into £700 debt while an undischarged bankrupt or equally reckless if you've accumulated it since you've been discharged.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -

Press CIFAS on the left.
It may say this
"There are no CIFAS warnings registered at your address(es)."
If so, you have no marker.
I have no CIFAS markers, have never been bankrupt, have never defaulted on anything, etc etc etc, and still got declined for a Cashminder. I have also had no issues getting accepted for any number of other current accounts and other lending products since or before being declined for the Cashminder and have never had any such accounts closed on me or been involved with any form of fraud or money laundering. In fact it would be rather bizarre if any of the above applied to me since they would more or less end my career overnight.
I think I'll put this down to "The Co-op are idiots".urs sinserly,

They do not appear to be part of the FSCS scheme, so if they go bellies up, you could lose all your money (up to the max £5K they allow to be kept at any one point in time, I believe).
The firm registration number they quote on their website, 900025, for a company by the name of Contis Financial Services, cannot be found on the FCA Register. However, Ffrees Family Finance Ltd is found.
The FCA registered contact has got a mobile phone, and Google Maps for the registered address looks like a private terraced cottage.

Any way of finding out how many members they currently have?
Theyre also enabling you to have direct debits soon it says.
Cheapest prepaid card/bank account going i think.0 -
Cheapest isn't always the best, even on a money-saving site. How many customers have you found that are happy with their customer service?0
