Ive already tried the halifax easycash account and got declined.

Im with cardonebanking which is £12.50 a month and they give you a mastercard debit card.

Just a pain when it charges £1.50 per withdraw too, and difficult to pay cash into it aswell you have to 'buy' a paying in book!!

I don't think i'd have any fraud markers against me!! And how would i know if i did?? Doesnt say anything on my credit file..
You do have some CIFAS mark that you added yourself.

As said, the reality is that many banks tacitly avoid customers with any CIFAS marks - probably because they require human intervention into the process ruled by computers. Try appealing.

For purchases, including online, you can use a prepaid card. There are some pretty cheap to run.

Beggars can't be choosers after all. 'Discharged'? Who cares? Even if you default and then settle the debt this stops you from getting mainstream credit for many years ahead. Bankruptcy is much worse.
  • How do you know that i have CIFAS marks?

Ive never commited fraud or tried to use a different name :-s
  • Is this prepaid visa debit card account the same as or better than a cardonebanking account?? Its only £2.50 a month..

CIFAS is a fraud marker. It is placed there either at your instigation or a bank's. Basically, either you committed fraud or lied on an application in the past.

I think your getting CIFAS confused with NHunter.

    Go to noddle.

    Press CIFAS on the left.

    It may say this

"There are no CIFAS warnings registered at your address(es)."

If so, you have no marker.

You can apply on the phone. No need to wait for an application pack to be sent to you. http://www.ybs.co.uk/savings/easy-access/cash-transactor.html#apply.

You can't apply for the YBS Cash Transactor account over the phone. That link you have quoted clearly says that you have to open it in branch or by post. All you can do over the phone is to request an application pack.

Which is what i did, requested the application pack.

Ive just applied for a FREES account.

It's free providing you have £100 of wages or whatever paid in every month.

    Free transactions

    75p withdraw atm fee's

This is much cheaper than the cardonebanking account im paying £12.50 a month plus £1.50 withdraw fee and £7.50 instant transfer fee!!

Plus i opened an account online, need need to scan and send copies of passport or driving license, you just provide you passport number and they check it on a database!! Brilliant in my opinion.
