Have Advents taken over anyone else's life?!

Options
I have no time for an ordinary life anymore with all these advents to do on top of all the other comps, going to work, housework, cooking, childcare and Xmas shopping/wrapping/preparation...something's got to give lol....

    WHAT FLAMING LIFE? :mad::mad::mad:

    I'm lucky because I make my own timetable for work, so I've mostly taken December out for comping. What I want to know is, how does anyone keep up with the advents, dailies and ordinary main board comps, while working full-time?

    Delegate?

    Does the cleaning etc really need to be done as often as it is being done?

    It's virtually impossible, in fact it is impossible. I get half an hour whilst I have my morning cuppa before I get ready for work. I am subscribed to about 20-30 threads of advents. Good thing is the good people on here bump with the prize so quite a few I don't bother entering for. Between these, about 6 dailies (don't enter the Daily Mags etc) and Curry's wish list the half hour whizzes by and so it's time to get ready.

    My 30 minutes sit down time at lunch time is spent entering the ones that start after 9 and trying to catch up on Facebook. My Twitter is getting totally neglected :(

    Home at 6.15 and start supper so it's usually 7.30 - 8.00 before I sit down and get get a couple of hours online. In that time I then try and bookmark all the new ordinary comps that have been posted plus enter some from previous bookmarks. Oh and ITV as well.

    There's no way in the world I could enter every daily, every advent. Fortunately I am a fussy comper and only enter for prizes I want.

    I can imagine if you were at home all day how this could take over your life. And god knows how some people are managing to enter with multiple email addresses as well which I read in one thread yesterday :eek:

    This is the first time I have attempted them. I did quite a few to start with, as I had four days off work, but when going back to work, I did a complete cull of the ones I would do and now only bother with about 20 of them and I might have to cut even those back, as I have not yet looked at the main board ones ending today yet.

    Not sure I'd get away with that Glad. I did think about a 3 bird roast but replacing the 2 inside birds with Christmas Pudding and custard. Do you think that would catch on?
