Have Advents taken over anyone else's life?!

I was looking forward to many of the 12 day Advents finishing on the 12th but loads of companies seem to be running their 12 day Advents from the 12th to the 24th so 'no rest for the wicked' as they say! I've been entering the Stella Beauty giveaways daily too (every two hours) and I am glad they end today. For the past week I kept thinking 'Oh I won't bother with them anymore' but then the little comping fairy inside my head tells me 'NO - you have to be in it to win it!' I have received 5 WEMs from them so I'm glad I have kept going!

I did the Stella comp last year (about 65% of it) and didn't win anything. I did about 85% of it this year .... and still didn't win anything!!

If it's on next year I'm going to ignore it

So far I have subscribed to about 370 advent competitions on here... I'm probably only entering a small percentage of them each day though. I have set my morning alarm 40 minutes earlier so that I can crack on with them. I use every spare moment I can to enter... (hence the stacks of washing up in the kitchen and piles of laundry)!

I have had a few wins fortunately, otherwise I think I would have given up by now!

Personally, I can't wait for them to end! I feel anxious that I can't keep up and wish I could have a job whereby I can have the whole of December off! Lol. Bah humbug that is all

They are sending me slightly doolally. But I've started so I may as well finish! :rotfl:

I'm 'only' doing 85 per day. Any more then I may go completely doolally!

Yes, not long to go now and over Christmas I will have a rest. I'll prob just pop online to do my usual dailies. I want to enjoy the festivities and Christmas tv without my laptop on my knee!

This is my first Christmas comping, and I was all excited about the Advents, but they are not what I thought they were going to be most of them are small prizes, lots are discounts rather than prizes or spends.

Out of the 17 days of December so far I have entered Advent comps on 3 days, but I must admit I have won 3 competitions too :eek:

So in short they are not for me but that means one less entry from me and one more chance for those who are enjoying doing the Advents to win.

I have just been on an Advent cull! I have stopped following companies on Facebook offering small value prizes or boxes of chocolates and sweets. I have also unsubscribed to many of the site Advents offering the same - so next week I will have more time for Christmas activities away from my laptop

I don't know what others think, but I think the prizes have been poorer this year, with many of the bigger companies either offering just discounts or prizes that are nothing really to shout about.

Yes, I am glad it is not just me! The prizes seem generally smaller this year, I just thought I was getting more cynical!

Yes it's taken over. I have been waking up in the night to go to the loo and end up picking up the iPad (with one eye open) and doing a few advents so I don't stress in the morning! Hubby must think I have a bf with all this!
