Because it's a fact that most PCNs/signs/lines/procedures followed during the appeals process, by a Council, are flawed at the outset or mucked up along the way. It's just people don't realise that the fact they get an initial knock-back on headed notepaper from a Council means diddly squat, and the fact is they would most likely win at adjudication. Reading a full page or two of pepipoo Council ticket threads will enlighten you!

    :)

    thanks

is there any difference between driving in a bus lane or driving down a road only meant for buses

starting to think i may have inadvertantly drove onto a bus only route

Yep there can be a difference and more scope for the Council to have got the signs & lines or Traffic Order wrong! Ask pepipoo and show them all your pics, every side of the PCN.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Can you give us a street view location. Quite a lot of these have non compliant signs, our very own Lime street being one where the council had to repay £lots! If you claimed it back of course!

You are one of 11,926 caught by that camera alone in the last 11 weeks since they went live. A total of 10 cameras have issued nearly 60,000 in that period raking in £1.7m (if folks pay up their £30's straight away).

Hi got a bus lane fine in birmingham. If I dont own the house I live in what could baliffs do?

Could they take my car which is in my name

Could I have the ownership of the car named as someone else, even if that person can't drive

    Thanks.

Its there a valid section on this website?

I think they inform the insurers of your car so that your premium goes up next renewal, or as they have the reistered address for the vehicle, ensure that it is vandalised therefore costing you more than paying the penalty, for the sake of the £60 whats the issue really?

Was this a PCN issued by a local authority? If so then it is a totally different ball game to a private parking invoice. If you fail to pay then bailiffs can be sent in and the costs will increase dramatically as a result of their use. If you feel you have grounds to challenge it I suggest you go to www.pepipoo.com and post on there for further advice. But don't ignore it under any circumstances.

Where did you hear that insurers are notified over a bus lane PCN?
