I did not see any reason for crawling back to them. They knew what part of their offer I was most unhappy with
You miss the point, you tell them in your response that you are going to take advice........well they are not going to come back to you then are they?
As stated in my succinct letter to them, you state you have sought advice and that you are prepared to accept the following........as per my post in #3750 -

Well I had an offer, they did say in their letter "due to our client's error" so I had an admission of wrongdoing. They can sit on what they have offered so can I. I am not in a hurry to get their money, I will just let the solicitor to take over and look forward to other developments ( non financial).:)0 -
I really dont know why I bothered0

I really dont know why I bothered
Sorry but I think you did not quite understood what I was trying to achive by getting them to make an offer. Your advice was very helpful don't get me wrong but I have got a sort of a plan, a plan of action and money, trust me is the last thing I am interested in but it plays some role in that plan. Do I make any sense? Hope so. I say it again you have been very helpful and in the normal circumstances any normal person should take your advice ( I am not that normal person and with my own mad ideas) just hope my ideas work.0 -
Perhaps this thread would be better suited in the pet section at this point as it's really not a praise, vent or warning any more. It's someone talking about their pet, vets and the legal system regarding animals.

This is the latest case brought against the vet by RCVS in front of Diciplinary Commitee
The charges were:
(a)
discharged Zola when you knew or ought to have known that he was not in a fit state to be so discharged; and / or
(b)
failed to provide adequate advice and / or information to ... on Zola’s discharge, more particularly in that you did not:
(i)
discuss an alternative plan regarding discharge;
(ii)
discuss a range of reasonable treatment options, including further exploratory surgery and / or euthanasia;
And that in relation to the facts alleged you have been guilty of Professional Misconduct.
Although having read this case I did not think he was guilty of these charges ( and he was found not guilty) but what I am shocked about is that the RCVS have closed my complaint where my vet sent my dog home with active bleeding and covered it up with bandages. I have learned by reading this case that the animal must be able to walk without any help before the vet is allowed to discharge them home. Maxie could not. So why did RCVS closed my complaint? If I get negative resonse to my last letter (28/11) I will be refering to that case.0 -
Hachette - I have only read about half of this thread.
First - let me say I am so sorry about your Maxie - I can understand how you feel.
Second - why on earth wasn't this moved up to Pets months ago?
Third - So much has been edited or removed that it is hardly legible. I think I am getting a handle on it, but, I think you will have to give us a summary of the situation - from the beginning.
can you do that please? write what happened and a timeline of what happened next? reading all the pages things get so confusing!0
