I did just that. I have told them that that surgery fee was most important to me. They have not responded i.e passing it to my insurers legal team.

What does this quote proof ?

By my estimates the RCVS reply will come around end of February or even April if the investigation to my last letter of 28 of November will be taken more seriously. My letter do DEFRA written in late January should take 20 days so again end of February my insurers legal team said it will take them 28 days so lets this thread sleep for a while until we get all their responses.

If you look at post 414, you quoted someone who said you would accept the offer plus the surgery cost. You replied saying you didn't know where they got that from.
The post that had the link in was where someone advised you to reply saying you will accept their offer if they include the surgery fee and you said you did that.

So what is confusing is that you say at one point you'll accept the offer if they include the surgery fees, and at another say you won't.

With the £2000 for shock and distress, why is £200 an insult? How much would be not an insult, and why does it matter if no amount can make it right?

I did reply and they did not offer the surgery cost. £200 for the distress I have suffered is an inslut you don't even know how much distress this has given me for the past year. There is not even 1 day that I don't think how Maxie died bleeding to death. Not even 1 DAY. I am not looking to get 2K but 200 pounds is like my dog did not matter to me and I did not suffer by his death that should never have happened. You will never understand this unless it happens to you I hope it doesn't.

You must have misunderstood what the person said earlier, they were saying if you were offered the same amount but added the surgery, would you accept?
I'm not saying your suffering is worthless, but if you can't put a price on it, £2000 is the same as £200.

My solicitors have already quoted 1800 plus VAT for me to recover just over £400 for the surgery that is why an average pet owner has no chance unless the have legal cover on their house insurance. :(
