Great shame the dailiy magazine thread seems to have finished. Surely theres too many to put individually on each day. Dont really uinderstand what all the fuss is about though. It was perfect as it was.0

I'm just glad they get posted at all - where they go I don't mind, just grateful someone takes the time to do this for us all. Just my input. Thank you to everyone who posts (and mods) be it one competition a month or 200 a day, I appreciate you all.A closed mouth gathers no feet.0

This idea that the majority rule, everyone should have a vote, it's a broadly 50/50 split on what to do seems to miss the important point.
These cash comps in the mag dailies are special ones for Christmas. There may be one or two for Easter but that's about it. I completely understand that people who don't regularly enter the mag dailies want to enter these cash comps and would be annoyed at missing them.
They only last a few weeks though. It might encourage a few more people to enter the mag dailies regularly. The vast majority won't though. The vast majority were well aware of the mag dailies before and chose to avoid them because of the time and hassle and presumably they'll go back to avoiding them.
So the opinions of the regular users of the thread should be taken into account. Even more than this, the opinion of the people who actually post the comps should matter the most. They said this was easier and better for the board and I respect that.0 -
It had been brought up weeks ago, before the Xmas specials, that peopl were missing comps posted on the mags thread
I know this doesn't suit everyone but as I see it people who liked CPs thread will still have the same type of thread and people who want all comps on the main board will have that too
If it wasn't nearly December there would be time to thrash it out, so let's go with this for now and see if it needs tweaking after XmasI am a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Wales, Small Biz MoneySaving, In My Home (includes DIY) MoneySaving, and Old style MoneySaving boards. Where are the click to wins going to be posted now? Individually on the main board or..?0
-
I would have thought that links to the click to win sites sit near the top of the mags thread as now. Links to each comp makes no sense.0

I am a newer member on MSE and I do not know if I am making a simple statement here (or I am just simple) but I bookmarked the 'Magazine Dailies & Clicktowin' to my folder and check it once a day for updates that CP1 kept updated. This meant I never missed anything that was updated... cannot everyone do the same as I find the amount of comps on the main board too many as it is and miss more on there these days... and now a lot of people know of the aforementioned 'sticky' thread then wouldn't this sort the problem of not remembering it or missing comps? Can't Smile Without You0

...Links to each comp makes no sense.
I agree. However if each mag daily is now being posted on the main board, don't clicktowins have to be treated the same?
If they are only in the mag daily thread, which is now not on the main board, won't people have the same issues (about not knowing about them, etc) as they had with the mag dailies?0 -
I would have thought that links to the click to win sites sit near the top of the mags thread as now. Links to each comp makes no sense.
It doesn't make sense but presumably the same principle applies. There are a lot of people who don't want to trawl through the 'click to wins' but would make an exception for the current ipad ones.0
