Daily Mags - what is happening?

Both those links take me to the magazine are you saying that competition is not posted on MSE?

There's absolutely no reason why someone could not just start up another Mag daily thread, It would be unstickied and on the competition board for all to see, as was the old one to start with.

Can't see anyone complaining about this, as the old one was closed due to bickering.

Any volunteers?

I just want to say I feel so sorry for the people who posted the mag dailies on the sticky thread.

You did a great job. It was so organised. It took some getting used to but I think most people who used it regularly found it a lot easier and clearer.

It's pretty incredible that a few people who aren't regular users of the thread, haven't wanted to do the mag dailies presumably because they are too much hassle and take too much time (very true) have managed to derail it.

Hi Layla, I did explain here to you why I and others felt that way about the RC's, I think you do a very good job and am quite aware of your hard work, Thank you for it.

I see Glad has now updated that they will be separated out, that's brilliant thanks :T

I spend most of my day in & out of Layla's Daily thread because most of the competitions I post which seems to be a average of 25-50 a day at the moment are daily comps.

Layla is on & off the forum all through out the day & evening & is always updating the Daily thread, so much so that I can post a daily comp in the daily thread then start to enter a few myself & there will be the comp I just added on the end of the thread in it's correct place on the main page.

I am eternally greatfull for all the work Layla puts in every single day for us all.

Thanks Glad for the update. If we couldn't keep the magazine thread as it was this is by far my preferred option.

Massive thanks to jambodaveprince for volunteering to run the thread, I know you already posted a lot of the magazine comps and am sure you'll do a great job.

Thanks to Layla for offering to do the separate thread for R/C's and continue with the daily thread - I might venture in a bit more now [I completely understand what you mean about been able to use the front post, I just prefer to tick the ones I've seen as posted and bookmark from there - thus it is completely my own doing that I don't use the daily thread more with all the RC's]

One question are all the comps currently posted on the original magazine thread going to be posted as individual comps on the main board now too?

I did ask last week how many comps were added on average to the mags sticky and the answer seems to be 50-60, so that's how many extra comps will be added to the main board each week

Layla will continue with the daily sticky as it is but it would be great to have a volunteer to do a 3rd sticky for rafflecopters

we're never going to please everyone and this thread shows the split on posting on main/posting in one thread is about 50/50

hopefully the above will suit most people as we'll have both, it worked well previously with the only problem being the amount of work for one person to update the first posts in the daily sticky, if this is shared out it will be much better and no one will miss a comp, big prize or otherwise, which has always been what MSE compers give their time up for

it's a busy time of year so let's do this now to stop any upset and after Xmas maybe the other ideas can be debated in full :xmassign:

I totally agree with you, it seems so unfair that a thread that was loved by most of us that used it regularly has just been taken away for no good reason.

I still don't understand why we can't have a proper poll on this and go with what the majority want. I have no problem with the odd 'extra' comp being posted on the main board but to go back to putting them all on seems like a backward step.

The majority rule, but I want to say a huge thank you to Cornish and the others that worked on the mags as I found the recent way of posting was a quick fab way to negotiate those comps as and when I wanted to.
