The wonder chair still needs another coat - which I have kept putting off today as I have been sewing and didn't want to get paint on anything...
I have finished my first ever quilt!! It's only small and is appliqued leaves and tree trunk with one small flower (that should have said bird...) - but still looking pretty good...
I used up a load of scraps and a random yard of fabric I had for the backing... Even making a few more scraps for the stash for the future when I trimmed down the backing.
I even managed to hang it without the broom handle needing to be bought as I found an old random bit of acrylic pole from another really old project.
So another three for the stash busting (pole and the full yard and finished a spool of old white thread with the basting) the scraps don't count as I made more scraps for the box and the wadding and calico were bought with the sole purpose of quilt making...
I will get there (with that bleeding chair) - and as soon as I find my camera I will even take photos...
Happy birthday - and ooh next time notice would be great I'd make a card and photo it for you and the thread and then donate it to a local charity shop...

I've added to my stash
But I needed some fabric for a border and binding for a quilt for DS so it'll get used soon
And I've cut out some fabric to make a bag for DD for college - and I'm using vilene and lining fabric tooThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Thanks for all my birthday messages. Maybe we should make a birthday list so that we can use some stash by making birthday cards and/or gifts for each other?
Well the kids were let loose in my craft room and made me two beautiful cards. They are both pride of place on my mantelpiece and will be treasured for evermore.
So although its cheating a bit I am declaring a further 2 items towards my total as they have used all my stash to make them

What a lovely idea CraftingMad :T:T:j:jAs a dear MSE friend says “keep plodding” or
What does the saying say.... When life hands you lemons, make lemonade
Or as my Mum would say, brush yourself down, tomorrow is another day or
Fake it, to you Make It

OK I need cheering up as I'm feeling very depressed at the moment after having been shouted at by everyone pretty much all day.
Please show me some of your lovely stash busting makes to cheer me up

.. He was being a kn0b. I tell them they have no right to speak to me in that way and when they can be reasonable I will listen and I walk away.. KH got himself a punch in the face a few times for screaming at me.. no one can hurt you like that unless you allow it, kick their butts.. ((((hugs))))
