What a gorgeous joint project :D you are both very talented ladies!

I am in the middle of a dilemma :o Currently I have mountains of yarn but I am struggling to find projects to make using what I have already. I have however seen lots of fabulous things to make that would require new yarn :rotfl:

However I will not buy more yarn until this mountain is gone so I am going to trawl through Ravelry and the books that I have until I find something suitable. Maybe I will give knitting a shot!

Now I just need to get the ends sown in and block it :D

Nimbo Do you use the lavender in your crafting? I have quite a few plants in my garden and was hoping to use them for something.

I have made lavender bags before - but these plants are about 2cm high each so not these ones yet...

I tend to just knock up some fabric bags and sew them up... (if the fabric is this I use two layers of it)...

I'm loving all of the makes...

My current makes are still the chair which needs another coat and then to dry.

I have a Quilting project underway so Far i have appliqued the tree trunk and a few leaves - but have about 15 left to sew and one small bird...

then obviously the wadding etc...never done it before so it's a learning curve. have all the things I need except a piece of dowel or something to hang it when finished... (I may treat myself to a broom handle when it's done). I'm making a point of trying to make things that aren't going to sit in drawers...

I am on the look out for a thimble display case to paint for part of my fellas chrimbo prezzie to display kinder toys in... but won't pay more than £2.50 for it - unless already painted...

    Afternoon all

I realised in horror when I read my first post it was back in July ! Where has the time flown

Well I have just finished a hat, scarf and wrist warmers for a homeless charity - photos to follow.

Working on granny square blankets at the mo....

Now for my confession, I have been on the ho33ycr2ft site! I wanted a Pom Pom maker to finish a tea cosy as I was getting frustrated with bits of card. well had birthday money to spend and it was rude not to go for free postage :rotfl::rotfl:. So a rotary cutter and board fell into my basket.... So I can cut strips for bias binding - that's my excuse :T

Off to work out how to load photos .....
As a dear MSE friend says “keep plodding” or
What does the saying say.... When life hands you lemons, make lemonade
Or as my Mum would say, brush yourself down, tomorrow is another day or
Fake it, to you Make It

    Hi

I love C & C TV to thats one of the reasons I have a stash to use up. I have really enjoyed reading through the thread. there is so much talent here.
Today I have made some PJ trousers to keep me cosy through winter from some spare cherry fabric I used for a dress.simplyinstitches.blogspot.co.uk
I have no idea how to load photo's either, can anyone help point me in the right direction.

I also spent time frogging a jumper today to finish a cardigan I'm making, so more stash being used. That C&C tv's not getting my money this week.

    Photo's to follow I hope :o

Photos can be seen through my home page but I would prefer to know how to do this directly.

    Hi all.

knitwit, C&C is the cause of me have to make a confession - I have bought stuff this week - twice.

Monday: I got extra long plates for my cuttlebug and I got some mini layering tools (I felt I could justify this as not being stash as these are tools to help use up stash.)

Today: I got some papers that I'd fancied for a while. I don't need them. On reflection, my excuse is that I'm feeling lousy just now, so my resistance is low. If I'd just got them on Monday I would have saved on postage :(

  • Hi all,

Although I haven't posted for a while I am still reading this thread and admiring all your crafty works of art :)

It's my 40th birthday today so I'm just about to let the kids loose with my stash so they can make me birthday cards. Judging by their philosophy that more is always better I hope that they will stash bust quite a bit for me :)

I promise that from tomorrow I will start stash busting efforts again :)

I have been good though and not bought a single craft item since before holiday (18th Aug) so at least the stash has not been increasing :)

    Happy stash busting everyone :)
