Well I have been a bit bad today - been shopping.... But not for craft stuff so much as party decorations...
We are having a Halloween housewarming so have been gathering 'stuff' for it - but have been good and got some stuff that will double for Christmas too...
Might sound weird - but I have been buying bits for a while for the housewarming - i.e. vintage serving plates etc for a few pounds here and there and after hearing woman at work talking about how she pickles doll - have decided the theme for the housewarming will be inspired by Miss Haversham... Went to my fave charity shop and picked up some bits - the woman who was on today was great - when she heard what we were shopping for she got right into it...
She dug me out an OLD wedding dress which already has tea stain on so I won't feel at all bad about throwing more tea at it, and we have a range of decanters and jugs to fill with 'potions' and dead flowers aka weeds which I will be picking this week to make sure they are dry...
I Picked up a few more 'gacked' up bits & some dolls to pickle - one is even china.... I have a load of jars here to fill with dolls and can't wait to gt started...
I have a nasty lacy table cloth from there and she even threw in a doily for free!!!!! Both are nasty shades already...
I want to whip up some bunting and then distress and age it somehow - with some old discolored lace as my next project. I'm thinking tea bags and a cheese grater??????
I have today scoured back the dresser more - and finished painting the chair. It is probably dry but i'll wait until tomorrow to attach the seat back on - just in case...
I have a day of crafting booked tomorrow a glass fusing workshop with the MIL. Not technically free - but we bought this for her birthday but we couldn't go on the original date due to roads being blocked for the tour d France... It won't be adding to my stash - and I will never be able afford a kiln - so probably never will.... haha

Hi everyone, I'm back and feeling much happier than a couple of days ago
Nimbo - your party sounds like its going to be amazing - I have to see some pics please
Well my little lad has a birthday party to go to this afternoon but I have been sorting out which photos to print for project life to catch up. Once they are printed I will be able to declare 20 items (pages) towards my total so hopefully soon I will edge a tiny bit closer to my target.
I also have a little confession to make. We had an overnight trip to Birmingham Fri/Sat and whilst I was there I found an IKEA (oh how I love that shop). The plan was to visit to get a couple of extra little bits to organise my craft room and I did get them. However I also put 4 packets of shaped metal paperclips into my basket. They were however only £1.50 a tub (for 30 pieces) so can I please be forgiven? They will look so nice on my cards and scrapbook pagesMortgage - £2338.07 paid off Feb 2023 BTL 1 £51,089.10 £35789.36 paid off July 2025 BTL 2 £81,504.52 BTL 3 £77,497.020 -

This is so gorgeous...... :T:T:TAs a dear MSE friend says “keep plodding” or
What does the saying say.... When life hands you lemons, make lemonade
Or as my Mum would say, brush yourself down, tomorrow is another day or
Fake it, to you Make It

I forgive you, craftingmad.
Love that bag, rosie.Sewing 88/COLOR]Woollies 19Card s 91Reading 37/400 -
Thank you greentiger
I love the bag too rosyq - its got owls on it
Its great to see everyone making such wonderful creations out of their stash. You are all putting me to shame but keep the pics coming - I LOVE seeing all your wonderful handiwork
Well I can add 1 more item to my total as yesterday I helped my little man come up with a design for a birthday card for a minecraft fanatic in his class. He obviously used some of my stash to complete it and so, according to my rules, that counts towards my total
I'm going to try and load it onto my blog soon so you can all have a peep. I just cut out the shapes using my paper trimmer and then he stuck them on. He was very proud of himself and I have to say that I was too. It really did look great for a card made by a 7 year old
I'm about to try and tidy up my craft room a bit as I still haven't had a chance to tidy it up after the kids making my birthday cards - it looks a right tip - I wonder where they get it from
