Thank you I'm glad you pointed this out to us.

On this basis Aldi cannot complain about Charges for Credit Cards and so should start accepting them.

Hows that, the call has cost you, it will still cost Aldi to accept credit cards, which they have clearly decided that they WONT accept Credit Cards.

I've spoken to Anonymous - they were outraged at the injustice of this and will be hacking the PoS system at the Berwick-Upon-Tweed store to ensure that it can no longer accept credit cards.

Problem solved, thread can be put to sleep now and the OP can go back to his train spotting or whatever it was he filled his meaningless life with before he started this pointless crusade.

    You mean Scotland.

The customer Services manager has written to me thanking me for my support and interest in their company and hopes that i will remain a valued Aldi customer.

If he didn't say that, he'd probably be fired.

There was the CEO on TV a few weeks saying pretty much the same thing, but with more realism - "I must thank all our customers for your support and interest in our company, after all, you are paying for my house, my cars and my holidays."

Nonsense - I have three different Visa debit cards and have used all of them at Aldi/Lidl.

I used my Santander Visa Debit card in Aldi in Kent as recently as last Saturday.
