A very good point you have made

The customer Services manager has written to me thanking me for my support and interest in their company and hopes that i will remain a valued Aldi customer.

I've written that meaningless phrase to unreasonable customers too. For some reason they always believe it and miss the irony.

+ How much of Aldi's customers call their customer service number? Probably less than 0.1%.

Probably far far more than that your guesstimate was low !

Yesterday Morning from 9 till about 1 pm when i called I had the message of "there a 12 minimum to 22 maximum callers in front of you".

Chatting to the operators and switchboard customers service manager and an official from the Corporate Logistics I think they have underestimated the requirements of operating their new customer services department and this new department is struggling.

What company did you write this meaningless phrase on behalf of please ?

Do you work for Aldi ?

I understand that a shop worker at Aldi is paid just 5p above the new living wage e per hour

You seem very gullible, they will say that because it means you are hanging on longer , so they get more commission, does not means they have that many infront of you.

    Keep going

Most people have jobs or other better things to do with their time than hold on with a (supposed) 12 callers ahead of them but I suppose everyone needs a hobby.

well its 5p more than most shop workers, in retail, shop workers are usually part time on the minimum wage per hour

true, especially someone moaning about Aldi making money from calls, so 12 in front you hang on 10 mins and 3ppm , so you made Aldi 30p

Thank you I'm glad you pointed this out to us.

On this basis Aldi cannot complain about Charges for Credit Cards and so should start accepting them.
