Seems strange as I regularly pay with my FD Debit card...

This thread is making me love Aldi all the more! :grinheart

Wow, this thread is still live.

Here was I thinking that idiot always moaning about Aldi's parking was annoying. Bet he is livid at being so out-trolled.

I agree but do you think this is a good business plan by Aldi ?

It is a Business Plan that ANY retailer has the right to do. If a retailer does not want to server you then they dont have too, its their choice

But according to Aldi Your FD Debit Card and if it has a single VISA badge and none of the accepted badges on it then its NOT ACCEPTED, see the website and in store signs, it's not on their ONLY list.

Which Aldi store do you use ? I need to feed this back

Forgot to say - I went to my local Aldi at the weekend and they wouldn't let me pay with my £10 notes.

Would you have the Aldi way of doing things in your supermarket business ?
Especially if you want to increase your profits and market share ?

The Aldi business plan/model seems to be working very well so why change it ? In fact its working so well last month Aldi reported that sales were up, lidl also reported sales growth of 13.1%.

A good point but but you forget to mention or you do not realise that Aldi do not accept all Debit cards they have an ONLY LIST of acceptable Debit cards in their shops and on their website.

How many different types of debit cards are there (as in existence) ?
As far as I know there are only 2 types, Visa Debit and Electron.

Thank your for this point its is excellent. …...Thank you for pointing out to us that Aldi are a business would you please remind Aldi they are a business and ask then to start behaving like one.

They do behave like a business, much better than other businesses.

I do not think Aldi sell sandwiches and if they did I would be uinable to buy them with a Credit card In England except in Berwick Upon Tweed

They do sell sandwiches, didnt use to though. Go to nearest ATM and withdraw cash and use that or use cash you have on your person.

Did you mean croquet with the malletts etc or crochet with crochet hooks to create fabric from yarn, thread, or other material strands.
