The fact that it may have worked in their card terminals is neither here nor there.I is NOT on the Aldi Accept only list.

you have no idea how terminals work do you, A termianl will only work with cards the store accept, if the store does not accept certain cards then them cards will not work in the terminal, the terminal will show 'invalid card'

Over 450 posts made by countless posters and the only person that thinks there is a problem with the Berwick-Upon-Tweed store taking credit cards (I'll ignore all the other whines that the OP has come up with to try and hide the fact he is being ridiculous) is the OP.

A sane and rational person would have thought that maybe they were wrong and retired gracefully. Proof that the OP is neither sane or rational.

He has had to communicate with the op on the phone.

Would you really want to communicate with the op on the phone AND the internet lol?

In my local Aldi they have a sticker on the sliding doors as you go in showing the various cards they'll accept.

You make a very good point.

None of the cards on that sticker will be in current use and if they are will be soon be changed when the expiry date on the card is reached and a new card is issued.

Do any of the "Aldi accept only cards" shown on the door sticker match a label on any debit or Credit Card you have please ?

Yes they do , i have used mine.

IGNORE their website and try and visit one of their stores in England, as its been proven their FAQ on their website is outdated as they still mention Delta ( because the FAQ is outdated, does not mean they dont update their site) as most sites an FAQ is fixed questions that never really need updating.

Can you tell me if a Mastercard prepaid debit card is acceptable in Aldi please ?

Every Aldi I have used has accepted visa debit cards. I have three.

I used one last night and tried to scan, the sales voucher, and paste here but it wouldn't compress sufficiently.

Presumably Aldi don't want to accept credit cards as it would put their costs up, which we as the customer would end up paying.

My local market doesn't accept anything other than cash.

It is the retailers prerogative as what forms of payment they will accept.

That's what it says on the website which is what you're going on about. Every Aldi I go to (I'm based in the south) says what they'll accpet.

Why can't you leave Aldi alone?

If you are South of the Scottish Border you can use a Credit cards in Aldi in Berwick Upon Tweed

If you live In South Wales you can use a Credit Card in some Aldi stores but not all of them.

I think you will find that the in store accept only list will not list the card that you use.
    Please verify this

How often do you shop at Aldi ?

True and that is because Adli will run a store with bare minimum staff ( ours at most is run with 6 staff at any one time) not like the big 5 with 200 staff chatting with each other.
so the 6 staff will do till work, stack shelves, sort out daily deliveries and even assist customers, so dont even have time to breath

I am glad you described Aldi in this way. This doesn't sound like the kind of place any of us would want to be employed at

I think the stores assistant starting wage is £7.70 per hour which is 5 pence above the basic living wage recently launched.
