It's not the way you type, though I do admit it does look a bit strange to me - almost as if you were typing in your second language (not because there is anything wrong with your grammar/spelling etc. - it just "seems" that way!).

It's the subject matter you've chosen to discuss. Aldi do not treat people "inappropriately". You are the ONLY person who thinks there is a problem with their credit card policy that warrants discussion. To anyone else, that would be a clear sign that they were in the wrong. You don't have to like the policy - I certainly don't, and wish I could use my credit card in there - but you do need to just accept it and move on.

Not wanting to be Devils advocate , Aldis Credit Card Policy is not clear IMHO.
It is not clear to their staff or customers.
It is not clear on their web site or in store

Aldis response to me since September 20th has not been good
so while I've been waiting for them to respond or act I've taken the opportunity to look at the system Aldi have.

All I have done is seen what they are like as a company and asked more questions. If it was clear no arguments from me at all

Since I have been using this forum and this thread all sorts of other issues about Aldi have emerged.

Next week I will endeavour to initiate real contact with the Directors of Aldi (on the Companys House website) together with Aldi in Germany.

I have a cunning plan which might not work. But while i am polite and ask siomple and fair questions I have nothing to lose and the opportunity to learn more.

It's not vendetta and as i spend a lot of time at the computer it is good entertainment and a distraction from work.

I would like them to answer my concerns about Health and Safety of customers and Staff in Aldi stores.

To point out to them that Aldi only accept Credit Cards in Scotland , parts of South Wales controlled by Swindon Wiltshire England, and Berwick Upon Tweed.in England This is very very poorly communicated to their customers and staff.

That Aldi have out of date signs in store and on their website and they have no plans to update it at all.

That Aldi have very poor communications and response to customers.

I cannot for one second believe any director of Aldi would want their company to act in the manner that they do and as mentioned above.

It will be cost free to me and I have nothing to lose and Aldi and their customers have everything to gain.

It is not the first time i have communicated directly with the directors of a company and been able to effectively benefitted all.

    Another thing..

When I ask a simple question which when answered incorrectly and I realise I a more familliar with the Aldi setup than the person I ask then I know i am talking to the wrong person .

So far at Aldi i have met an assistant manager at the Bulwell Nottingham Store and his Area Manager who acted in a customer focused way and in a way i would expect of all Employees if I was a director of Aldi.

    Lee very funny LOL

    LOL a very good question

I know the answer without asking Aldi LOL
  • So if the England stores have contactless, does this mean the Berwick Upon Tweed store doesn't?

Aldi have not updated their in store we accept card list signs and they have no plans to
Aldi have not updated their website we accept only card list and they have no plans to.

What does this say for their attention to detail ?

The chance of them using contacrless seems remote to me
