I spoke the the store manager at my local store and he stated as he has seen this thread the till system are not set up to handle vouchers, so is this another case of 'i am on MSE so i know more than companies themselves' which is the attitude of several MSE users

I've not spoken to anyone at my local Aldi as I really don't care how they handle vouchers internally, but I do know that if I hand in a £20 voucher (or various other vouchers that they produce) I get £20 off my shopping, and that's all I care about.

If the store doesn't know how to handle them and throws them in the bin, I don't care. The voucher, for me, has served its purpose.

Callum thank you for your contribution which has merits that I agree with.

Would you please reconsider editing your last sentence to remove comments which may be considered inappropriate or insulting by MSE admins who do a great job.

It wasn't meant as an insult, I was just describing your behaviour (and I should emphasise - your behaviour in this thread, not your entire life outside of this board!). I won't edit it for a hypothetical admin, but if you want it gone I will do so.

Though you've skirted around this question dozens of times, why on Earth are you doing this? It's complete and utter nonsense and I genuinely cannot grasp what could possibly be motivating you.

That's a lot of trolling of your posts. They also joined the forum 3 years before you, so how can you accuse them of just trolling you?

I agree you cannot grasp what is possibly motivating me.

I regard this forum and the thread as banter and information and good fun. I dont want to insult anyone or see others insulted.

As you maybe aware this is the first thread i have started.

In the process I have learned a lot about forums, myself , others and global international companies who do not know how to communicate properly with customers effectively and efficiently.

Any input you have about the subject matter is welcome from you but please do not let it upset or wind you up.

The typed word is different to the spoken word which I'm sure most people understand.

If i was speaking this stuff people may think it sound friendlier and funny

Maybe its the way I type what I type ?

:rotfl: I cannot believe that somebody got so wound up by a thread, they spoke to their local shore manager about it. :rotfl:

Do you live in near an Aldi Scotland , parts of South Wales controlled by Swindon Wiltshire England, and Berwick Upon Tweed.in England?

If you did you will be able to use a Credit Card at your Aldi.

I'm from Berkshire and don't have a credit card so unfortunately that rules me out. I just checked the Aldi site and the whole of Berks only has 2 Aldi's anyway as far as I can see.

I would highly recommend Berwick though. I have been there (but not in the Aldi......may be next time). You should plan a weekend away with your better half and take it as an opportunity to undertake an Aldi transaction using a CC and see if it lives up to the hype.

It's not the way you type, though I do admit it does look a bit strange to me - almost as if you were typing in your second language (not because there is anything wrong with your grammar/spelling etc. - it just "seems" that way!).

It's the subject matter you've chosen to discuss. Aldi do not treat people "inappropriately". You are the ONLY person who thinks there is a problem with their credit card policy that warrants discussion. To anyone else, that would be a clear sign that they were in the wrong. You don't have to like the policy - I certainly don't, and wish I could use my credit card in there - but you do need to just accept it and move on.
