Moving from Scottish Power to EDF

Email today saying gas put back by one day to 24th and also confirmation of both DD to start in Dec.

I have just read email about the DD to start in Deecember but nothing about the date fo the gas changing!!

Originally mine was 17th and 23rd but it`s been put back a day for both.

I have today received a letter from SP telling me it is my final electicity statement.
They have given me a different account number to the one I had for gas and electricity.
I had a credit on my account as at 15 November of £259.11.

Yet they are saying my account balance at 15 November is £52.34 (this seems to be just the elecricity bit!!!) and my final b8ill is £81.29 so I owe them £28.95.

I have just rung them and as usual they have a wait of over 30 mins as they are so busy...I requested a call back but if its anything like last time when I got `the tea boy` ringing me back don`t hold out much hope.

I`m not sure when the gas account will come through, but as a DD is due to go out to them on the 15th December, am I right in thinking I should cancel this now, as I am certain they owe me money and not the other way round even when the gas is sorted.

I know some of you have also had problems! grrrrrrr

I think it might be worth contacting them via a suitable method, for example a seance, telling them to reduce your payments to 1 penny a month so as not to have them owing you more money, for which you will charge them interest! If you cancel the DD then it will make it more difficult for them to repay you which is bound to benefit them. Only allow further payments if they agree to cut the DD to as close to zero as possible.

Southern Electric informed me and did this for me without any issue but with SP it is bound to be a lot more difficult.

Think they have about 10 minutes in the time scale they said they would ring back.....not holding my breath!!
Don`t hold out a lot of hope will get any refund this side of Xmas 2014! just don`t want them to take any more of our money. I will request they amend the DD...if and when I get to speak to them.

Please does anyone have an email address for them that might get replied to?

This is the only email I`ve got for them but how long they`ll take to reply ---- who knows.


Yesterday I got a call from SP "retentions" asking me to stay, some chance!

Just now when I logged into EDF, both my gas and electric contracts now show as live.

Mine is till showing as `nearly there`.

Thanks for the number, will try that tomorrow at least its not an 08 number so might be cheaper to call! as I`m assuming they are not bothering to call me back as its over the time they stated..

SP have actually rung back .... that was 16 minutes ago - yes I am still holding on. Thinking I could be here for the rest of my life as I am sure they have no intention of actually speaking to me... will give them 5 mins then off to make the dinner....might even leave phone on the desk as they are paying for the call.
