Not heard anything from EDF.
The gas is due to switch on 23rd Nov., the electric today.
Maybe they are waiting for both fuels to switch before asking for readings.
Did you just submit your electric readings today?
ps:
I`ve just logged in and here is the status.
Electricity
Your supply with us started on 18/11/2013
You can see how it's progressing below.
Nearly there
Your contract is almost registered. There are just a few meter reading details we need to sort out. If you haven’t heard from us already, we’ll be in touch soon about these. Not long now.0 -
Yes thats the same as I got I logged into EDF. I went onto the submit meter reading bit and could do the electricity but not the gas. So have done this so I know the readings are correct... just think its a bit strange as expected to hear from them first thing this morning.0

I think I read somewhere that there is a period of so many days during the change over where both companies have to agree on the readings and bill you from there.
I don`t think the readings need to be taken on the dates given, only when the two agree the readings.
I don`t think it`s done any harm you putting the electric reading in, whether SP goes by them is anyone`s guess.
You would think that one of them would actually send someone to read the meters to avoid problems.0 -
I thought EDF might be a little more on the ball, after all they will be getting our hard earned £££ for the next couple of years0

You were correct to enter your readings today.
I`ve just spoke to EDF via their "web chat" and they requested me to enter my electric readings today, although they haven`t sent their email "read reminder" yet.
On the 23rd I`ll do the same for my gas.
At least they will have up to date readings to let SP know.0 -
Brilliant, thank you.0

I do, and have to enter two sets of readings day & night but it`s not very clear which box is which!
Another thing I learned today is these readings go to a third independent party who have access to your previous readings and if they are happy that they are correct, they forward them to SP to use for the bill.0
