I don't think that's always true (Maybe more true on the Child Support board though ). If you look at JackR's thread on here . He's a man , currently in conflict with his wife over fair distribution of the marital assets and future support -and people certainly aren't siding with his wife. I do think though that if a man posts -people will try to put the women's side across too but the same is true of men posting on a womabn's theread too. Some of us just think people are people regardless of their sex too.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

Your posts on that thread didn't appear to be that supportive from what I've read. He certainly seemed to be getting a hard time from you, not to mention the digs about his spelling!
Its probably true that women put across a different prospective, but seeing as more women post on here their posts will be the majority.0 -

This whole thing about 'quality time', is a modern invention.
It sounds so clinical, almost as if it has to be pencilled in on the calendar, sort of 'we will now have fun, whether we want it or not'
Years ago, a lot of parents didn't have time for 'quality time', what with larger families, long working hours and less labour saving devices.
But kids are very flexible, and were quite happy to make their own fun. It didn't cross their minds that they should have to 'interact' with their parents at set time.
And yet most of those kids would look back on happy childhoods, and good times with their parents - because sometimes fun just happened
Kids are micro-managed so much these days. Perhaps it would be best for the OP not to pressurise everyone so much. Maybe, in a more relaxed environment fun will happen naturally, without this huge expectation that quality time can bring.Early retired - 18th December 2014
