  • Bumping up the Range/Parking eye page AGAIN!

Another disgruntled customer pointed in our direction by one of our regulars!
Could you please have parking eye withdraw the parking charge that my wife has received at your newport rd store cardiff, if shopping at your store has a time scale then mabye she, my children and her pensioner mother should have sped up their speed of shopping ( not as if they didn't spend enough while there ) Thank you and hopefully my request will be answered.

    Hello Richard!

I give a lot of advice on various parking forums and help people beat these nasty parking companies. So what you need to do is this:
Go on the parking eye web site with your details and appeal, say you took a long time because of your gran, scan your receipts if you like, also put a copy in the post. This will most likely be REJECTED (its a private company making money so they reject most of them), if they reject it then fear not. There is something Called Popla, this is the independant appeal service. In the rejection letter they will give details on popla including a code.
To win at popla and BEAT Parking eye you have to do it on Legal grounds known as genuine pre esimate of loss and No contract. Things that happened on the day (known as mitigation) NEVER work as popla cant take that in to consideration. Register on the Money saving expert website and say you have a popla code and people will show you where to look and help you construct the Popla appeal. Once this has been constructed and people think its good enough (it sounds more complicated then it is) you can log this on the Popla site and then sit back and wait. Parking eye will send you a 40 page document in the post designed to scare you with legal jargon, do not worry this is normal. This will end up costing parking eye and you will win
Using the name Simon Renshaw-Smith genius (unless of course you do share the unfortunate pleasure of having the same name as Excel/VCS director fame!) HO HO HO!:rotfl:

  • Bumping up the range and parking eye again!!!!!

Another disgruntled customer - covered by the Equality Act (breastfeeding mother) received parking charge at the infamous Shirley branch - I wonder if PE are paying business rates here!

Dear the range Southampton (shirley). Today my friend and I each received a parking charge notice. We were in your car park for 2 hours and 33 minutes according to the letter. We were in your shop and used your cafe the entire time. We both have a baby under 6 months old and we enjoyed your lovely sofas in the cafe while breastfeeding our babies and enjoying a nice cup of tea. We also bought various items from you before leaving. I should probably have double checked for signs around the shop about parking but assumed that as I was in the range the whole time, parking wasn't an issue! I am very annoyed that we have received a 'fine' for shopping with you and in future we will not be using your shop again!

She was directed to MSE or Pepipoo - so hope she takes that advice.
