    They have no decency!
When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

So The Range and Parking Eye are you proud of the way this customer of yours was treated? (from Parking Prankster):-

ParkingEye had a default judgement overturned against lainieee, as reported in this thread.

Why ParkingEye were going after a disabled pensioner in the first place is a question only they can answer. As the car park was the Range, Southampton and the date was 2012, only ParkingEye can also answer the question whay they were pursuing a motorist when a contract was not in place with the landowner. Cases 3QT62681 ParkingEye v Lemon and 3QT62156 ParkingEye v Harris, clearly established that there were no contracts in place at that car park until February 2013. ............. more
Lainiee's case is getting maximum exposure now also posted on both Parking Pranksters blog and the Range facebook page as well as of course here on MSE.
  • And of course the range wont say a word...........
Proud to be a member of the Anti Enforcement Hobbyist Gang.:D:T
  • Both by the same person:
Couple of email addresses that may help cdawson@therange.co.uk the elusive ceo of the range, perhaps he will answer if we all club together or failing that email watchdog and lets hope we get to see them on the tv! watchdog@bbc.co.uk
Another person that has contacted watch dog after trying and trying to get through to your 0845 number. Does anyone even answer on your web team? Is there one hamster on a wheel desperately trying to answer all these calls?? And please dont ask me to email either because besides your automated 'we'll get back to you' you never answer that!

Scores of other customer service complaints then we have this one out of the blue:

I have never had a problem and I buy a lot from the range

    Pat Ryan - any trap?
  • Poor Parking Eye - they think that the forums have a "vendetta" against them according to the LPC lawyer in a recent court case in Bristol - where they lost.
  • I've emailed The Range customer services and told them I'll not be going to any of their stores until Parking Eye are gone and this persecution of their customers ends.

I'm just not prepared to take the chance of being hassled if I arrive just before the store opens, if I shop for too long, or linger a bit after store closing.

They replied saying my comments have been passed to the appropriate person.

It's as if they don't already know.
  • One of the range's rare responses to a car park complaint has turned up. It's so mealy mouthed I have to highlight it.

'We brought in a two hour parking limit as we found that our car parks were being abused by motorists that were not shopping in our store and were using the car park as free parking while they went elsewhere. This prevented our valued customers from parking on site.'

So valued customers can park for two hours and after that they aren't so valued anymore.

Also I have to say again. The customer service at the range seems absolutely shocking. I can't understand why they keep a facebook page. It is overwhelmingly negative.
  • Well (unsurprisingly) that's tosh from The Range .. the Blackburn Range is in the middle of nowhere, no other retail outlets (other than car dealerships with ample car parking of their own) in the immediate locality.. check it out on Google maps !!

    https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&lr=&safe=images&q=the+range+blackburn&ie=UTF-8&ei=pwPwUoXkGsnR7AbQh4HYAg&ved=0CAkQ_AUoAQ

White building (ex B&Q) nearest to the roundabout. Don't recall it being "abused" when B&Q had it ...... nor was it "managed".

There is a retail park across the very busy Whitebirk Drive - look how much parking space that has .. and I don't think it has any infestation .. or coincidentally any parking problems ! Mind you, I could possibly envisage someone parking at The Range then crossing over the road, dodging the traffic and bringing back a three piece suite ... on foot ! :rotfl:

So no way was it or indeed is it being 'abused' !!

Mind you, I suspect we all knew it was tosh .. didn't we ???
  • Of course we do the whole ethos of "managing car parks for genuine customers, imposing free time limits, a quick turnover of parking spaces etc " is Parking Eye's sales patter...... as seen on their website.

genuine customers cannot be calculated by the length of time they stay.
