Thanks Cathy
I am feeling very frustrated with my bank at the moment, as i am still waiting for my accounts to be updated after their little glitch.
I THINK i will be able to put £60 into savings today (which will mean i have exceeded my goal to have £600 in savings by the end of Dec), and i also have £54(petrol money from agency) to put into my account tomorrow
So, fingers crossed i should have £692 in savings this time tomorrow0 -
Yay, picked up my petrol money from work..£54.20
Have put £4.20 into the school dinner money pot and will deposit the £50 into the bank tomorrow
I have an extra 3 hours work tomorrow, so an extra £24 this week. Every little helps!0 -

Thanks Eco Miser
Luckily, it was just a case of waiting for DDs and SOs to show, rather than being out of pocket.
it has updated this morning and is showing exactly what it should. Unfortunately i had to take £60 out of the bank for Christmas presents today, so will only be able to save £50 this week. BUT that still means i'll be over my goal
i am starting to get a real buzz from saving money and seeing my accounts grow. I am looking forward to Christmas being over with so that i can start saving more money.
Did my 3 hours overtime today0 -

Good morning diary.
I am very very excited to announce that i have well and truly smashed my 1st mini goal of having £600 in the bank by the end of 2013.
Total amount £765
I got a refund for some stuff i returned, so was able to save some extra this week.
I think that's it for savings in 2013, i now need to concentrate on the rest of Christmas.
Happy happy happy happy !0 -

Well done WantToBeSE. Been lurking here to date...
Are your savings getting a decent rate wherever you hold them?

Thanks financialbliss (love your username!).
They are in a Natwest Cash ISA at the moment. The rate is a pitiful 0.5% at the moment, rising to 1% in January 2014.
Once i have improved my credit score, i plan to move banks. But am stuck there for the time being0
