I guess you could look at it from the other perspective - I don't give something that he needs.

Your husband doesn't give you the one thing required in every relationship to make it last the distance, the ability to place trust in a partner. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Three times......

It must be so painful to face up to where your relationship is at and the difficult decisions you have ahead of you. Step back and think about what you could go through in years to come if you stay with someone who chooses to treat you so badly and with such contempt.
The best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own, no apologies or excuses. No one to lean on, rely on or blame. The gift is yours - it is an amazing journey - and you alone are responsible for the quality of it. This is the day your life really begins.

TBH now the husband has "found" the thread...I think it's run it's course as far as helpfulness is concerned. I don't think you'll get an honest sounding board, I think more fireworks.

I'm pretty sure that when you've calmed down you don't want the two sides played out over the WWW as some soap opera. :(

It could be anyone posting, its a bit strange someone has just found this thread even though they are working away and created a new user name to post.

Indeed. But as you can't call troll on this forum. Taking it at face value....it's got regret written all over it.

I find it odd that rather than speak to someone offline, they'd go to the trouble of making a new profile on here and start the conversation about the marriage on a thread.

Im not saying its a troll, just that I think its very very weird.

  • Jinx, do you have family or a friend nearby that you could go round tonight, or tomorrow, if you would find it helpful to have some company and someone that you could talk to in person?

I could but if I do that it publicises it and at this time Id rather keep my own real life counsel. One person does know and Ill see her tomorrow.

I love the MSE peeps though, objective and honest :)

I don't want to lose her but I accept that it has to be a two way thing.

Mm, two way being you and this other lass on the other end of a webcam?

Forgive me if I don't have much sympathy...
